ALVARO MORATA has revealed exactly what Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone said to him last week on the touchline – and it was all about croissants.
One of the stories to emerge from the Champions League semi-final clash between Atletico and city neighbours Real was the chat between the two.
As Morata was warming up during Real’s 3-0 victory at the Bernabeu, Simeone was caught on camera whispering in the ear of the opposition’s forward.

That sparked rumours of him attempting to poach the Chelsea and Manchester United target to join Atletico.
Simeone had refused to reveal what was said when quizzed about the incident.
However, Morata has now shed light on the incident, saying: “Simeone had a joke with me, one which had nothing to do with football.
“I know him because he played with [my agent] Juanma Lopez and he asked me for some croissants from the brand I have launched.”
The brand launched by Morata is called Crosantino – a bakery shop based in the centre of the Spanish capital.
Atletico welcome Real across the city on Wednesday night as they attempt to overturn a 3-0 deficit.
Los Blancos are huge favourites to reach the final for the third time in just four years following Cirstiano Ronaldo’s hat-trick in the first-leg.
