IT all started in the first minute of the game against Chelsea… Manchester United conceded through a Pedro goal and would go on to be humiliated 4-0.
That Sunday in late October was a dark day in Jose Mourinho’s season – just nine games into the 2016-17 season and already five points adrift of the top four.
However, it seemed to light a fire under United, who have not lost a single Premier League game since.

Incredibly, the Red Devils are on a 24-game unbeaten run following their 0-0 draw in the Manchester derby on Thursday night.
Marouane Fellaini saw red for a headbutt on Sergio Aguero, but the visitors hung on to grab another points.
While the run may look pretty on the face of it, of those 24 games, United have won just 13, drawing 11 times in the process.
If you still don’t consider that to be too bad, think of this… that is 22 points dropped.
After all, despite not losing since the end of October, United are STILL outside of the top four – a point behind neighbours City in the Premier League standings.
Since succumbing to the 4-0 drubbing at Stamford Bridge, United have drawn with Burnley, Arsenal, West Ham, Everton twice, Liverpool, Stoke, Hull, Bournemouth, West Brom and City.
All the hard work put in to beat league-leaders Chelsea on April 16 as well as a 1-0 win over Tottenham in December undone by a complete inability to close out games.
Under Sir Alex Ferguson, United were kings of the late goal, of grinding out ugly wins… but not so under Mourinho it would seem.
All too often with ‘Fergie-time’ approaching, the Old Trafford outfit look lacklustre and out of ideas.
Every time United put a run of wins together – six in December-January and three in April – they stutter once more.
There is a silver lining though, as their point against City puts their top four aspirations firmly in their own hands.
The only question is, can they win their final five games… or will they drop more points along the way?
