Blues legend completed a medical with Spartak Moscow but turned down the lucrative move due to family reasons

John Terry is just 3/1 to make a return to Chelsea after turning down a move to Russia.

The Blues have offered their club legend the opportunity to return as a coach as he still a free agent.

Betfair still have Aston Villa as favourites to sign the former England international again at 7/4.

Last term the experienced defender made 36 appearances for the Villains in the Championship as they lost the Play-Off final.

The 37-year-old looked certain to make a lucrative switch to join Spartak Moscow after completing his medical.

But the move abroad fell through after he did not want to relocate his family to Russia.

And now as he ponders his future Chelsea have offered him the chance to hang up his boots and kick-off his coaching career.

JT began his career at Chelsea and went on to become captain in his 19-year spell at the Bridge.

Betfair Spokesperson Katie Baylis said: “With John Terry’s possible move to Spartak Moscow now off the table, we have Aston Villa as the 7/4 favourites for the Ex England captain’s next move.

“With talk that Chelsea are interested in having him back to Stamford Bridge in a coaching capacity, we have him at 3/1 to go there in some form.”
