Following three unsuccessful bids from the Gunners, Monaco now have no plans to sell Thomas Lemar – according to reports in France.
Monaco Vice President Vadim Vasilyev has reportedly set an extortionate price at which he would sell the winger, but he will not reveal this figure to Arsenal.
After loosing a handful of players during this transfer window, including Tiemoue Bakayoko to Chelsea, the French side are determined to not sell anyone else.
According to Get French Football Now(GFFN), Monaco are refusing to negotiate with Arsenal.
The French outfit reportedly did not even bother responding to Arsene Wenger’s most recent bid, labelling it a waste of time.
Arsenal tested the water with an offer of £30m, followed up by a second bid of £40m – which were both rejected without question.
The latest £45m offer was also ignored by the French Ligue 1 champions.
Monaco have already lost Bakayoko, Bernardo Silva to Manchester City and deals for Benjamin Mendy and Kylian Mbappe are on the horizon.
The Gunners are still keen to sign the 21-year-old, but if they fail to do so then it is expected that they will re-focus their targets on Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez.
Arsene Wenger has also voiced his interest in Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe.
The Arsenal boss met with Mbappe for a three-hour meeting in a bid to bring him to the Premier League.
Lemar has been offered a new contract and has been encouraged to stay with the French side for at least one more year.
