Hector Bellerin really wants to join Barcelona this summer.
And the Arsenal defender wants to get things moving, with Barca making it clear they’re not willing to wait around much longer.
The youngster has reportedly contacted Gunners boss Arsene Wenger twice this summer to discuss his proposed exit.
Bellerin met with Wenger shortly before returning from the European Under-21 Championship, with the French manager outlining his goals for the new season and expressing how important Bellerin is to him and the club’s progression as a whole.
But it’s been clear for some time that Bellerin’s dream has always been to play for Barcelona.
The La Liga giants made contact with the defender some time ago and more or less agreed personal terms with him, but Arsenal are completely unwilling to sell.
Bellerin has even made it clear that he’s willing to take a massive pay cut to make his dream move come true.
Sounds a bit like Cesc Fabregas, doesn’t it?
It’s likely that Bellerin and Wenger will meet again for showdown talks before the summer’s through.
If Arsenal do agree to sell the defender, then his price would probably be quite high as the club don’t have a replacement right-back lined up.
Wenger has been busy in the transfer market this summer and could dip in again with the large pot of cash he’d get for Bellerin.
Barcelona would have to pay between £25-30million if they wished to change the Gunners’ mind and lure Bellerin to the Camp Nou.
But with Bellerin considered one of football’s finest young full-backs, it’ll surely be worth it?
