Manchester City striker Enes Unal is off to Villarreal after failing to break into Etihad boss Pep Guardiola’s plans
Turkish striker who spent the last two years out on loan lands a permanent deal with the side who came fifth in La Liga
Manchester City striker Enes Unal has joined Villarreal for £12million after failing to play a single game in England.
The Turkey star, 20, was loaned out to Genk, NAC Breda and Twentes after his £2m switch from Bursaspor to the Etihad in 2015.
City boss Pep Guardiola is likely to shake up his squad over the summer and Unal always seemed unlikely to play a role.
Guardiola is aiming to keep Argentina hitman Sergio Aguero, as well as giving fit-again Brazilian Gabriel Jesus more game-time.
