Swansea could be about to lose two key players in January

Things aren’t going well for Swansea City this season.

Actually, that’s an understatement.

Things have gone horribly wrong this season.

Since their promotion to the Premier League in 2011, the Swans have looked like a solid top-flight side.

But this season they look doomed for the drop – and their survival bid looks set to take a big hit with two key players heading for the exit doors.

Star men Fernando Llorente and Gylfi Sigurdsson are both being chased by clubs at the top end of the Premier League table.

Spanish forward Llorente is being touted as a possible back-up to Diego Costa at Chelsea, whilst Everton are fluttering their eyelashes at Sigurdsson.

Either player leaving the club this month would be a problem, but BOTH would be something of a disaster.

Llorente has scored some important goals for the Welsh club this season, including the winner against Crystal Palace before Christmas.

And Sigurdsson has been one of the few standout performers at the Liberty Stadium.

New Swans boss Paul Clement will be desperate to keep hold of the duo, as the former Bayern Munich assistant attempts to keep the Swans in the top-flight.

Swansea – who have already sacked Francesco Guidolin and Bob Bradley – already look down and out, having only picked up four wins all season.

They’re currently 19th in the table, with Hull City, Sunderland and Crystal Palace their survival rivals.
