SECTION 2: GAME TYPES

There are two main types of games available to play on Dream Team, both free-to-play.

2.1 Season
The Season Competition follows our classic Dream Team format, whereby you have to pick a team of 11 Players.

It is a season-long format game based on the 20 Premier League clubs and the performances of Players across all domestic and European competitions with points being awarded in accordance with Section 5 of these Game Rules.

2.2 Draft
Draft allows managers to go head to head each week with a squad of exclusive players.

Before the start of a season, managers will join a Mini League. Each Manager in the league will be required to create a squad of 15 or 11 players in a live draft.

Managers will not require a budget to sign players but instead take turns to draft a Player. Once a player is signed by a manager, no other manager can have him.

Managers then battle it out each week in a head-to-head league format, for the ultimate bragging rights of finishing top of the league.

SECTION 3: REGISTRATION

Entry will open on 7 July 2022 and remain open for the rest of the Regular Season. To enter the Season Competition you will need to first register an Account. If you haven’t already got one, you can do so via the Website or on the App.

3.1 Eligibility
In order to register and play the Game, you must:

(a) be aged 18 or over, regardless of this being a free-to-play Game;
(b) at all times manage your own account and entries;
(c) comply at all times with these Game Rules; and
(d) be located and resident in the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland only.

If you do not fulfil all of the eligibility criteria set out at sub-paragraphs (a) to (d) above, the Promoter reserves the right to void your Account and forfeit winnings and any prize monies already paid out must be immediately returned to the Promoter.

You must supply all information requested at the time of registration for the Game, including what football club you support, your first and last name, email address, password, mobile number and date of birth.

Your entry and all information provided by you must be accurate, up to date and complete. You will need internet access to play the Game. Internet, data and related costs will be at your own expense.

3.2 Team Limits
You must not enter more than ten (10) teams in total into the Season Competition. If you do so, you will do so in breach of these Game Rules and we reserve the right to void all of your entries and withhold any prizes.

3.3 Team Names
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify you or your team(s) from the Game, or reject any team name if the Promoter believes that your team name and/or Mini League name is inappropriate or offensive. In addition, the Promoter reserves the right to rename the team in the name of the entrant or to apply such other name as the Promoter deems appropriate.

SECTION 4: SEASON

4.1 Team Creation
The maximum number of teams a Manager may enter into the Season Competition is ten (10). Each of the teams you enter are automatically entered into the Season League.

Should we find that you have opened more than the permissible number of teams (either through multiple registrations or via someone else), without limiting any other rights or remedies available to us, the Promoter shall be entitled to close all of your Accounts and those Accounts of anyone that we believe that you may be operating and remove those teams from the Games and/or invalidate you (or anyone linked to those teams) from winning any prizes.

4.2 Mini Leagues
Managers will be able to create and join free Mini Leagues at any point in the Regular Season. Once successfully registered for the Game, you have the option to become a Mini League Chairman or to join an existing Mini League.

Chairmen can create either a Public or Private Mini League, as follows:

• A Public Mini League is one that any Manager can join. These leagues do not require a PIN to enter and can be found via a search facility in the League Hub section of the Website and/or App.

• A Private Mini League is one created by a Chairman that a Manager can join only if they have a unique PIN number for that Mini League or followed a link directly from an invitation.

The Promoter has discontinued its stakeholder service for Mini Leagues and does not offer any prizes in respect of the outcome of any of the Mini Leagues.

The Promoter will not accept any responsibility or liability regarding monies exchanged between Managers of any Mini League.

4.2.1 Mini League Scoring Formats
Chairmen can also choose the scoring format of their Mini League upon creation:

• Standard Mini League is the normal way Mini Leagues are run, whereby Managers’ teams are ranked against each other based on the accumulated points earned across the duration of the entire Regular Season.

• Head to Head is where two Managers of a Mini League play against each other (the ‘fixture’ selected in rotation by the Promoter before scoring starts) with the outcome calculated in accordance with standard points scoring system.

Head to Head is a format where all the teams in a league are ranked on points earned in their Head to Head performance against other league teams over the course of the Regular Season.

Each Game Week will see the Mini League participants matched up in a Head to Head fixture. The winner is awarded three points in the fixture, the loser no points, and each Manager is awarded one point in the event of a draw (when both teams score the same number of points in that Game Week).

If there is an odd number of Managers belonging to a Head to Head Mini League then the remaining Manager in that Game Week will receive a bye and be awarded one point. The fixtures are randomly generated and depending on the amount of teams in your league, each team may receive an uneven number of byes.

4.2.2 Creating Regular Season Mini Leagues
There is no limit to the number of Mini Leagues a Manager can create.

A Chairman can create a Mini League up until the start of the last Game Week of the Regular Season.

The Mini League finishing date is after the final Eligible Match of the Regular Season.

Upon creation of a Mini League a Chairman will need to set the following criteria:

• Mini League name. There is a maximum of 40 characters for a league name. Inappropriate league names will be deleted and replaced with your team name.

• Mini League scoring format. Standard or Head to Head as described above in Section 4.2.1.

All Standard Mini Leagues created before Regular Season kicks off will default to start scoring from Game Week 1.

Head to Head Mini Leagues will start scoring from Game Week 2 unless changed by the Chairman when setting up the Head to Head Mini League.

Any Mini Leagues created post scoring will start scoring from the next available Game Week.

A Chairman can select any future Game Week for scoring to start up until the final Game Week of the Regular Season.

Teams can join a Standard Mini League after scoring has commenced. An existing team’s total points earned before joining will be added to their league points immediately. Newly created teams will begin on zero points.

The Promoter reserves the right to close entry to a Mini League at any point in the Season.

• Mini League privacy setting. The Chairman will be able to select whether a Mini League is a Public Mini League or a Private Mini League.

• Maximum number of team entries into your Mini League. All Standard Mini Leagues will default to ‘unlimited’ but can be changed to a maximum number of Teams per Mini League by the Chairman.
Where the Mini League is a Head to Head league the maximum number of teams is 40.

4.2.3 Joining a Mini League
A Manager may join a Public Mini League without any invitation. This can be done via the search facility available in the League Hub. No PIN is required upon joining.

To join a Private Mini League you will need to be invited by the Chairman or be issued with the unique PIN of that Mini League. Managers who follow the invite link from a direct invitation will not be required to enter the PIN.

A Manager can enter up to five teams in any one Mini League. There is no limit to the number of Mini Leagues a single team can join.

4.2.4 Removing Teams From A Mini League
The following rules apply to removal of teams from Mini Leagues:

Chairmen may remove managers from a league before scoring has started, however a league cannot be deleted, and chairmen will be unable to remove themselves from a league if they are the only user remaining.

A Chairman cannot remove another Manager, and a Manager may not remove themselves from a Free Mini League after scoring in that league has started.

This is not allowed as it will affect the league set up and scoring structure.

SECTION 5: SCORING

5.1 Scoring System
The player ratings and the Star Man award will be supplied by an independent ratings provider WHOSCORED.COM using their independent system of rating Players.

The scoring system and points will be awarded as follows:

All Players (GK, DEF, MID, ST):
Goal Scored (excluding own goals) +5 points
Hat-trick (3 or more goals) +5 points
Assist +2 points
Who Scored Star Man +5 points
Who Scored 7+ Player Rating +3 points
Yellow Card -1 points
Red Card -3 points
Penalty Saved or Missed -3 points

Defenders & Goalkeepers:
Clean Sheet (no goals conceded) +5 points
Two Goals Conceded -1 points
Each Goal Conceded Over Two Goals -1 points

Goalkeeper:
Penalty Save or Miss +3 points

5.1.1 Scoring Explained

Assists
The Promoter will use the OPTA Defined Assists statistics to determine assist points allocations as follows:

• A Player making a pass with the direct intention to set up a successful goal attempt from an open play situation.

• A Player taking a corner, throw-in or free kick where a goal is scored directly from it by another Player;

• A Player shoots or passes forcing the defender to put the ball into his own goal;

• A Player who is awarded a penalty which is taken and scored by a team-mate.

Points for assists are only awarded to a Player from the goal scoring team.

Bookings
Two yellow cards leading to a red card will score as one red card in the Game i.e. -3 points in total.

If a Player receives a yellow card in an Eligible Match and subsequently receives a ‘straight’ red card in that same match, a total of 3 points will be deducted from the Player’s score. The Player will not have points deducted for the yellow card and the red card.

Points deducted in the Game for Yellow and Red Cards that are subsequently overruled will not be reinstated in the Game.

Substitutes who do not play at any time in an Eligible Match but are cautioned while ‘on the bench’ will not be deducted points in the Game.

Deductions will apply if that Player subsequently plays any part in that Eligible Match.

Player Ratings

Player ratings of 7.0 and above and Star Man points will be determined byWHOSCORED.COM.

The Star Man will be awarded to the Player of the two competing teams with the highest player rating in any Eligible Match.

The ratings for all Players and the Star Man award can change up until 15 minutes after the final whistle of any Eligible Match whilst more accurate player data is being collated and verified.

In the very few cases where OPTA and or WHOSCORED.COM statistics are not available the rating will be provided manually as close as possible to those criteria used by these agencies and decided by the Promoter at its sole discretion.

Penalty Save or Miss (as defined below)

Save or Miss is defined as a goal not being scored directly from the penalty spot.

Penalty Save or Miss points will be awarded or deducted (as the case may be) even if a goal is subsequently scored (e.g. from open play after the ball rebounds from the goalkeeper; or if the Player deliberately passes the ball direct from the penalty kick).

Clean Sheets and Goals Conceded

• Clean Sheet (no goals conceded): +5 points
• 2 Goals Conceded: -1 point
• Each Goal Conceded Over two goals: -1 point

Substitutes who come on during an Eligible Match will be awarded and deducted points as if they had played for the full match.

• Players substituted off will continue to be awarded and deducted points as if they had played the full match.

These ‘How to Score’ rules remain the same for matches involving extra time (eg for a goalkeeper or a defender to score clean sheet points in a match involving extra time, their team must not have conceded any goals by the end of that extra time). Goals, saves and misses during any penalty shoot-out do not contribute any points to the scoring system.

5.2 Scoring Updates
Scoring updates will apply to all football fixtures commencing on or after 5 August 2022 and continuing throughout the 2022/23 Season that any English Premier League club plays in, including the English Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, the Europa Conference League and the Carabao Cup (also known as the EFL Cup). International competition matches are not Eligible Matches.

Qualifying matches of the Champions League, the Europa League and the Europa Conference League (excluding play-off rounds) do not count as Eligible Matches.

Full scoring including player ratings and Star Men points for Eligible Matches will provisionally be published on the Website and the App as soon as possible after each Eligible Match. Points updates will always be carried out as promptly as possible, however it may not always be possible to finalise points updates by the times stated.

We will use our reasonable endeavours to ensure that points which are calculated based on information supplied from OPTA and WHOSCORED.COM will be finalised and applied based on the live information received by the Promoter as at 15 minutes after the final whistle of the relevant Eligible Match.

Any subsequent corrections, changes and/or updates to that information from OPTA after the Promoter has updated the points may be used in a points re-calculation at the discretion of the promoter provided this occurs before midnight of the day following the finish of the eligible match in question There will be no amendments to the scores of any entrants to the Game after this time. Nevertheless, the Promoter reserves the right at any point to update points, player ratings and the Star Man award.

If any Eligible Match is abandoned for any reason then that Eligible Match will cease to be treated as an Eligible Match for the purposes of the Game. If the match is replayed then the replay will be treated as an Eligible Match.

If an Eligible Match is completed and then a governing body subsequently determines that all or part of the Eligible Match is to be replayed only the initial match will be deemed an Eligible Match. Any replayed portion of that match will not be treated as an Eligible Match.

The decisions of the official ‘Dubious Goals Panel’ will not be taken into account.

The decision of the Promoter in all points scoring matters shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Players transferred or loaned from one Premier League club to another Premier League club will continue to score points for the purposes of the Game and will be considered to be a Player at the new Premier League club. Any Player transferred from one Premier League club to a non-Premier League club will have his points total frozen in the Game and will only resume scoring in the Game should he re-join a Premier League club.

SECTION 6: PLAYER VALUES

6.1 Player Values
If you transfer out a Player who has increased in value since you purchased him you will be able to transfer in a new Player of equal value or less than the value of the outgoing Player at the time that you make the transfer in addition to any spare unspent funds in your player budget.

If you transfer out a Player who has decreased in value since you purchased him then you can only transfer in a Player of equal value or less than the value of the outgoing Player at the time that you make the transfer in addition to any spare unspent funds in your player budget.

On the Friday of each Game Week we will update the value of your team’s Players and show this in your team as well as in the ‘Stats’ section on the Website and in the App.

At the start of each Season, the Promoter will compile a select list of Premier League Players from each of the 20 Premier League clubs for you to choose from. Each Player will be given a fantasy value based on the previous season’s performances and their point scoring potential.

The Promoter will endeavour to introduce new Players to the Player List throughout the season as new Players join the league or as performance deserves.

6.2 Variable Player Pricing
Over the course of a season a Player’s value will change based on their point scoring performance.
At the end of each Game Week the Promoter will evaluate each Player’s point scoring performance against what was expected and shall calculate a new value (increase, decrease or remain unchanged).

The revised value for each Player will be applied and published on the Website and App at 7am every Friday after the completion of a Game Week.

The maximum a Player’s value may increase or decrease per Game Week is £0.3m.

The first round of Variable Player Pricing updates will take place after the completion of Game Week 1 and thereafter until completion of the Regular Season.

The Promoter does not guarantee that it will enter into any correspondence relating to Variable Player Pricing.

6.3 Game Weeks
The Regular Season is split up into a number of scoring periods known as Game Weeks.

For this Regular Season a typical Game Week will run from 7am on a Friday and ends at 6.59am on the following Friday and will include all the Eligible Matches played during that period.

A team’s weekly score will be calculated by reference to the total score earned from the Players in your Team during all Eligible Matches in that Game Week.

SECTION 7: TRANSFERS

7.1 Transfer Allowance

Managers can make unlimited transfers until 7.59pm on 05/08/2022 and, due to the World Cup, from 7am on 18/11/2022 to 6.59pm on 20/12/2022.

Managers can make a maximum of five transfers in/out of their team during each allocated Transfer Period.

Transfer Periods typically begin at 7am on the FIRST FRIDAY of each calendar month, with the last period opening on 5 May 2023.

See Section 7.8 below for the Transfer Period Calendar.

7.2 Eligible and Pending Transfers
In an update to the rules for eligible and pending transfers this season, Players will now only become locked based on their appearance and not their Club.

Once a Club’s first match of the GW starts, only a Player that makes an appearance in that match will become “locked”.

Players that have made an appearance will either have started the match or made a substitute appearance.

All Players of the two participating Clubs will be temporarily locked during the duration of the game but Players of each Club that did not make an appearance in that match will become unlocked once the match is over.

An eligible transfer will take immediate effect and will occur if you transfer a Player out for another player where neither the outgoing Player nor the incoming Player have played during the Game Week in which you make that transfer.

A pending transfer will take effect from the following Game Week and will occur if you transfer a Player out for another Player where either the outgoing Player or the incoming Player have already played or commenced playing during the Game Week in which you make that transfer.

For example, if you transfer out Harry Kane in Game Week 4 and replace him by transferring in Erling Haaland, that transfer will remain pending until Game Week 5 unless neither Kane nor Haaland have made an appearance yet during Game Week 4 in which case, that transfer will take immediate effect in respect of Game Week 4.

All pending transfers will be confirmed after completion of the Game Week at 6.59am every Friday.

7.3 Reversing Transfers
Any transfer that is made can be reversed up until the point that either the incoming Player’s club or the outgoing Player’s club have played in the current Game Week or before completion of the Game Week at 6.59am every Friday. After this time, transfers cannot be reversed.

7.4 Unused Transfers
Managers will have until 6.59am of the first Friday of the following month to use any unused transfers.
Any unused transfers during a Transfer Period will not be carried over to the following month and will be removed from the team’s transfer allowance.

7.5 Bonus Transfers
At any point during the Regular Season the Promoter reserves the right to credit all teams in the Season Competition with an additional bonus transfer or transfers above the monthly allowance whenever they see fit. Details of this bonus transfer will be communicated by the Promoter via the Website and App at the time.

7.6 Unlimited Transfers
Managers will have an unlimited amount of transfers available to their team up until kick-off of the first Eligible Match on 5 August 2022.

This season, due to the World Cup, Managers will also have an unlimited amount of transfers available from 7am on 18/11/2022 to 6.59pm on 20/12/2022.

Any transfers made outside these periods will be taken from your team’s transfer allowance.

7.7 Transfer Budget
A team’s initial transfer budget will be £50m and thereafter will be calculated by the prevailing value of all the Player’s in your team, together with any unused funds in your player budget at the time. There is no budget for Draft players.

A Player’s value will change across the Regular Season meaning that a team’s available transfer budget will be affected by the performance of each Player in your team.

7.8 Transfer Period Calendar

7.9 Lockout Process
There will be a lockout period commencing at 7am each Friday morning at the end of each Game Week during which you will be unable to make changes to your team until the lockout period has finished. Lockout can take up to three hours to complete.

SECTION 8: PRIZES

8.1 Season Prize Monies
Prize distribution for the Season Competition is as follows:

1st place – £75,000
2nd place – £15,000
3rd place – £5,000
4th place – £3,000
5th place – £2,000

The points scored for each Manager’s team in each Game Week is accumulated throughout the Regular Season. The winners of the Season Competition are determined by the verified positions in this leader board created by these accumulated points at the end of the Regular Season.

If two or more Managers share a place in the top five positions then the relevant total prize pool of the tied entrants will be shared equally.

For example, if there are two teams tied for third place, the prize allocated to each tied entrant will be made up of the prize for third and fourth added together, then divided by two.

If the number of tied entrants for a prize extends beyond fifth place then the prizes will be awarded according to the time and date of entry of the eligible Managers in order of the earliest entry down to the final position for that prize.

Tied entrants past the fifth position for that prize according to this ranking process will not receive a prize.

Under no circumstances will the Promoter award more than five prizes for the Season League. The Promoter’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

8.1.1 Prize Payments to winners
For all verified winners of the Free-To-Play 2022/23 Dream Team Game winnings will be paid by BACS transfer to your account once ID, age verification and any other checks as we may reasonably determine appropriate, have been carried out and we have details of your account or any other account that we believe may be linked to your account.

Winnings will be paid out without you needing to make a claim and, subject to successful checks being carried out by us, we will with best endeavours verify the results with 14 days of the competition ending. We will then endeavour to pay the winner within 28 days of receiving your bank details.

Once payments have been sent to your account, the Promoter is unable to transfer funds to a different account.

If the attempted prize payment to you fails for any reason such as the transaction is not accepted by the issuing bank then we will also attempt to contact you by the mobile number and/or email address you have provided to us when registering for the Game or updated by you subsequently, and arrange appropriate payment to you.

We reserve the right to suspend the payment of winnings in the event of the occurrence of an event outside our control which might include: network failures, malfunctions to our systems, war, terrorist activity, riots, malicious damage, fire, flood, storm, nuclear accident or compliance with any new law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction. We will pay you any winnings due to you as soon as the relevant event outside our control allows us to do so.

If we are unable to contact you for any reason the Promoter reserves the right to forfeit your prize. If any winner is later found to be ineligible to win any prize for any reason, then the winner must return prize money back to the Promoter within 28 days of its request. If the Promoter has not yet paid such a prize then it will be forfeited and no winnings will be payable to the ineligible entrant under any circumstances. All amounts will be paid in British Pounds Sterling. If your bank account is in a different currency (e.g. Euros) the prize amount may differ to the amount stated due to the then current conversion rate offered by your bank and may be subject to conversion fees (these are both outside of the control of the Promoter and the Promoter cannot be held responsible for any discrepancies or fees).

8.2 Monthly Competition
Each Manager competing in the Season Competition is automatically entered into our Monthly Competitions.

The winner of each of the 10 (ten) Monthly Competitions will be the Manager with the most Points gained during a Game Month (see schedule in 8.2.1).

A Manager cannot claim more than one bonus Monthly Prize during the 2022/2023 season.

If a previous Monthly Competition winner from this season finishes with the most Points during a Game Month, the prize will be awarded to the next best-placed Manager who has not won a Monthly Competition during the season.

In the event of a tie, the Managers with the most points will be entered into a prize draw, with a winner selected at random. If applicable, previous winners of Monthly Competitions during the 2022/23 season will be excluded from any prize draws.

Each Monthly Competition winner will be contacted within 14 days of the end of the Game Month period.

Monthly Prizes are as stated and are non-exchangeable and non-transferable. There is no cash or other alternative to the prize in whole or in part.

Monthly Prize winners will be required to confirm acceptance of the applicable Monthly Prize within 14 days of having been notified. If the Monthly Competition winner has not claimed their Monthly Prize by the date specified, the Promoter reserves the right to award the Monthly Prize to another participant.

The Monthly Prize will be delivered within a reasonable time and by no later than 28 days after the Monthly Prize has been accepted.

8.2.1 Bonus Monthly Competition Schedule & Prizes

The monthly competition prize is a Sony PlayStation 5 Disc Drive Console (RRP £449.99), subject to availability. Any change to schedule will be communicated in these rules/T&Cs at least 7 days before the beginning of each competition period.

SECTION 9: DRAFT GAME

Draft is our alternative game that allows managers to go head-to-head each week with a team that is unique to themselves.

9.1 Squad Creation
The maximum number of Squads a Manager may enter into a single Draft League is one.

Managers may enter more than one Draft League. However each squad is individual to its Draft League.

In order to create a Draft squad, users have to go through a ‘Live Draft’ before the start of a season.

9.1.2 Squad and Team Minimum and Maximums
Managers will be asked to build a squad of 15 or 11 Premier League players to compete over the course of a season. A squad can be made up of different combinations of the following positions – Goalkeeper, Defender, Midfielder and Striker.

15-Man Squads
The below minimum and maximum Squad position requirements apply. A Manager must adhere to the minimum and maximum for each position and draft a minimum of 15 Players in total.

The minimum numbers for each position in your Draft squad are:
GK – 1
DF – 3
MF – 3
ST – 1

The maximum numbers for each position in your Draft squad are:
GK – 2
DF – 10
MF – 10
ST – 5

Before each Game Week a Manager must select a Team (Starting XI) from their 15 Man Squad. A Team can be selected into any of the below formations:

1-3-4-3
1-3-5-2
1-4-3-3
1-4-4-2
1-4-5-1
1-5-3-2
1-5-4-1

The minimum numbers for each position in your starting XI are:
GK – 1
DF – 3
MF – 3
ST – 1

The maximum numbers for each position in your starting XI are:
GK – 1
DF – 5
MF – 5
ST – 3

If a Manager only selects Three (3) Defenders in their draft squad then they will be required to field all three (3) defenders every Game Week. Likewise if a Manager drafts five (5) Strikers then they will only be able to field a maximum of three (3) in their Starting XI each Game Week.

11-Man Squads
The below minimum and maximum Squad position requirements apply. A Manager must adhere to the minimum and maximum for each position and draft a minimum of 11 Players in total.

The minimum numbers for each position in your Draft squad are:
GK – 1
DF – 2
MF – 2
ST – 1

The maximum numbers for each position in your Draft squad are:
GK – 2
DF – 7
MF – 7
ST – 5

Before each Game Week a Manager must select a Team (Starting VII) from their 11 Man Squad. A Team can be selected into any of the below formations:
1-2-2-2/4
1-2-3-1/4
1-3-2-1/4

The minimum numbers for each position in your starting XI are:
GK – 1
DF – 2
MF – 2
ST – 1

The maximum numbers for each position in your starting XI are:
GK – 1
DF – 3
MF – 3
ST – 2

If a Manager only selects two (2) Defenders in their draft squad then they will be required to field all two defenders every Game Week. Likewise if a Manager drafts five (5) Strikers then they will only be able to field a maximum of two (2) in their Starting VII each Game Week.

9.1.3 Live Draft
Users take it in turns to draft players, which follow a linear or reverse snake format.

A linear format sees users have a set place in the draft queue. A reverse snake format sees users get assigned a random place in the draft queue, which then reverses in each round (IE: User A has pick 1 in round 1. User A will then have the last pick in round 2, the first pick in round 3 and so on).

Players are not duplicated, meaning that if User A drafts Harry Kane, then User A will be the only person in their league that has Harry Kane in their squad.
Users have to draft 15 or 11 players. Time restrictions may apply based on parameters set by the league Chairman.

9.1.4 Pre-Draft Queue
Your pre-draft queue consists of a list of players selected by the users, which will be used to determine Draft picks if the user is unable to draft a player in their allocated draft time.

Players can be added to the pre-draft queue at any point before the Live Draft. Players will be automatically drafted in accordance with the squad minimum and maximums.

If a player is set to ‘ignore’, then he will not be automatically drafted and the player may be drafted by another user, should they wish.

9.2 Draft Leagues
Upon entering the Draft mode for the first time, users have the option to either create a league from scratch, join an existing public league or join a private league.

All Draft Mini Leagues run on a Head to Head basis. This means that every Game Week will see a number of fixtures between two Managers and their Squads. Below is an example of a six-team Head to Head League over two Game Weeks

Game Week 1 Game Week 2
Team A v Team F Team A v Team E
Team B v Team E Team B v Team D
Team C v Team D Team C v Team F

All leagues require an even number of teams in order for the league to run properly.

If there is an odd number of teams, more time will be given to ensure that an even number of teams is in place. The live draft date and time will be pushed back by 24 hrs and continue to do so until the league fills its quota.

Chairman can increase or decrease the number provided it is an even number.

9.2.1 Creating a Draft League
You can create a league via our recommended Basic settings or customise it with our Advanced settings. A Chairman can always edit the settings of they are unsure and just want to get started
Basic Settings.

League Name
Chairman must name their league. A name must not exceed 40 characters and must not be inappropriate in nature. We reserve the right to change any league name deemed to be so.

League Size
A Draft League must have an even number of teams in it in order to be valid. Therefore a League can have 4,6,8,10 or 12 teams in it in conjunction with other league settings.

League Privacy
Chairman can create a Private or Public league depending on preference.

Private leagues are not visible and can only be found by invitation or a unique League PIN.
Public leagues are visible to all Managers and can be joined without invitation or a League PIN

League Start Week
All Draft Leagues will be defaulted to start on Game Week 1 (5/08/2022) but can start any Game Week after this up until Game Week 34 (26/05/2022), the last Game Week of the season.

Advance Draft Settings:

League Play Offs (Final Series)
• Chairman will have the option to create a knockout competition at the end of the season between the top teams in the league.

Play Offs (Final Series)
• A Chairman can select how many teams play off against each other. 4 teams over 2 weeks for example.

Play Opponents
• A league can be set so that the same two teams can only play each other once, twice or as many times as needed to get to the last Game Week of the Premier League season. This is dependent on the size of the league.

For example: If a 12-team league is set for teams to only play each other twice then the league will be completed after 24 Game Weeks.

Draft Type
A Chairman has the option of two types of draft events:

Live – Live drafts involve players utilising real-time strategy and reactionary measures to select players.

Auto – Auto drafts use preliminary draft rankings pre-set by each user to automate the draft and finalise squads

Draft Order
There are two ways to establish which order Managers get to pick their squads in the live draft – Snake and Linear.

Snake – The draft order gives the Manager the last pick to draft in Round 1 the first pick in Round 2 and so on until the Draft is complete. Below is an example of a four team Snake Draft.

Round/Pick 1 2 3 4
1 Manager A Manager B Manager C Manager D
2 Manager D Manager C Manager B Manager A
3 Manager A Manager B Manager C Manager D
4 Manager D Manager C Manager B Manager A

Linear – This draft order means the order that is established for the first round is repeated in all of the following rounds until the draft is complete. Below is an example of a four team Linear Draft.

Round/Pick 1 2 3 4
1 Manager A Manager B Manager C Manager D
2 Manager A Manager B Manager C Manager D
3 Manager A Manager B Manager C Manager D
4 Manager A Manager B Manager C Manager D

Draft Turn Time

A Chairman is able to choose how long each Manager has to make a draft pick. The options are:
• 60 seconds
• 2 minutes
• 5 minutes
• 15 minutes
• 60 minutes
• 12 hours
• 1 day

If a Manager fails to pick a player to draft in the allotted time then the top ranked player remaining in the game will be auto selected or the player set in their watch list.

Squad Size
A Chairman is able to choose between two different squad sizes for their Draft league.
• 15 Man Squad – 11 starting player and 4 substitutes
• 11 Man Squad – 7 starting players and 4 substitutes

Select Captains
• A Draft league can enable a Captain functionality meaning that each Game Week a Manager is able to nominate a Captain in their squad.

A Captained Player will double any of the points they have scored. There is no limit to the amount of times a certain player can be nominated as Captain. If a Manager does not change their Captain then their previous week’s selection will just roll over.

Automatic Substitutions
A League can choose how squad management and substitutes are managed with the ability to turn Automatic Substitutions on or off.

If Auto Substitutions are turned on then any player that does not play any part in the match will be replaced by one of the Players on their bench based on their priority ranking (1-4).

The Substitute can be a different position to the Player he replaces provided he doesn’t break any of the valid formations permitted in the game (See 7.1.2)

Restricted Free Agents
If the Restricted Free Agent (RFA) system has been put in place by your League Commissioner, then the following will apply.

If there is a player that has not been drafted by any team, that player is considered a Free Agent. Whenever a player is listed as a Free Agent they can be picked up at any time by simply dropping one of your current players and Signing the Free Agent.

However, after the Initial Draft and each Round has been played, there is a period of time where all players who are not on a team become Restricted Free Agents. Whilst a player is a Restricted Free Agent a coach must put in a bid to sign the Restricted Free Agent.

Players will remain on the RFA list for at least the timeframe specified in the RFA league settings.
RFA signings are subject to the league Priority Order.

Restricted Free Agency Order
If you decide to have RFA turned ‘ON’ then there are two options on how to order priority for Draft leagues.

Reverse Ladder Order – The team positioned last in the league has priority on any Player that is selected by more than one Manager.

Last Pick to Bottom – The team that had the number one ranked priority will go to the bottom of the priority list the following Game Week.

Trade Approval Options
Managers will be able to trade between themselves throughout the season. These trades as a default will be set to not require any approval but there are a suite of options for any league based on preference.

Free for All – Trades will be processed automatically with no Chairman or League ratification.

Chairman Approved – All trades will require ratification by the League Chairman before they are processed.

League Approved – All proposed trades will require ratification from majority vote of the League members before it is processed. There is a 24 hours clock for members to lodge their votes.

9.2.2 Joining a Public Draft League
A public Draft league can be joined by any user so long as there is a position available. The rules of each league are altered at the discretion of the league Chairman and will be clearly displayed.

Draft Date & Time
A Chairman may select their preferred date and time for the live draft to commence. However no draft will be available to run until 22/07/2022. This is two weeks before the start of the Premier League season.
A Chairman is able to change the date and time of the draft at any time before what is scheduled.

9.2.3 Joining a Private Draft League
Each private league has a unique code that can be shared by a Chairman to any user. Typing in this code will give you access to a private league provided the league is not full.

9.3 League Scoring

Scoring System
The scoring system and how Players earn points will be the same as the Season game and awarded as follows:

Scoring category Points
All Players (Goalkeepers, Defenders, Midfielders, Strikers):
Goal Scored (excluding own goals) +5 points
Hat-trick (3 or more goals) +5 points
Assist +2 points
Who Scored Star Man +5 points
Who Scored 7+ Player Rating +3 points
Yellow Card -1 points
Red Card -3 points
Penalty Saved or Missed -3 points

Defenders & Goalkeepers:
Clean Sheet (no goals conceded) +5 points
Two Goals Conceded -1 points
Each Goal Conceded Over Two Goals -1 points

Goalkeepers:
Penalty Save or Miss +3 points

9.3.1 League Scoring Format
All Draft Leagues will be determined by the Head to Head format, just like the Premier League.

Each Game Week will see all League teams matched against another in a Head to Head match. The winner being the Team that scored the most fantasy points.

Points will be awarded based on the Head to Head result and go towards a Team’s overall points total. Points for each Match Up are awarded as follows:

• 3 points for a win
• 1 point for a draw
• 0 points for a loss

League positions will be determined by the total league points accumulated by each Team. As a tie-breaker, team will be sorted by points differential followed by points scored.

Depending on the format chosen by the league Chairman, the winner of the league will be the manager that finishes in first place, or the manager that wins the play-offs, which can be qualified for by finishing in one of the first four positions.

Draft Game weeks will run concurrently, and cover weekends (and possible weekdays) where Premier League games are taking place.

Dream Team reserve the right to make alterations to game weeks and eligible fixtures at any notice, which may impact scoring.

9.3.2 Play Offs
Chairman will have the option to create a League Play-Off at the end of the season between the top Teams in the league.

A Chairman can select how many Teams will qualify for the Play-Offs and the regular season table will end with enough weeks to allow for the Play Offs to complete with a Final Head to Head.

9.3.3 Captain & Vice Captain
This is a feature that can be switched on or off by the League Chairman in advanced settings.

Before each Game Week commenced have the chance to select a Captain and Vice-Captain from every player in their squad.

Each Captain receives double their points total. If the Captain does not play, then the Vice-Captain will receive double points instead.

Captains and Vice Captains cannot be changed once a Game Week has got underway.

Player Transactions
Once your Draft has completed you will still be able to bring undrafted players into your squad. You will be able to do this via the Players page; you will also be able to complete team to team trades with other league managers by proposing a Trade with another Manager. In both instances you must offer a Player in your Squad that you are happy to lose

Restricted Free Agency
All Managers will get a chance to add undrafted or released Players to their squad once a week. When making a request you are proposing to replace a player in your squad with another Player.

RFA requests are usually processed 24 hours before the game week deadline though this will be reduced if there is a small timespan between the last game finishing and the next game week starting.

Any number of RFA requests can be made, if you make more than one they will need to be prioritised.

The lowest ranked team will get first RFA choice. Before the season starts the RFA order will be the reverse of the draft order. Once a RFA request is successful, the team in question will move to the end of the RFA queue for that game week.

If more than one team are tied on points, their position in the league table will be determined randomly. As a result, the lowest positioned team will get the higher RFA order.

Free agency
Free agency works like traditional Fantasy Premier League transfers. Any available player can be added to your squad by swapping them for a player from the same position in your squad.
