If you enter after the kick-off of the first Eligible Match your team will start to score from the next Eligible Match starting on that day or subsequent day(s).
3.3 TEAM CREATION
The maximum number of teams a Manager may enter into the Season Competition is ten (10). Each of the teams you enter are automatically entered into the Season League.
Should we find that you have opened more than the permissible number of teams (either through multiple registrations or via someone else), without limiting any other rights or remedies available to us, the Promoter shall be entitled to close all of your Accounts and remove your teams from the Games and/or invalidate you from winning any prizes.
Entry will open on Monday 3 July 2017 and remain open for the rest of the Regular Season. To enter the Season Competition you will need to first register an Account. If you haven’t already got one, you can do so via the Website or on the App.

4-4-2 – a goalkeeper, four defenders, four midfielders and two strikers; or
4-3-3 – a goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three strikers.
3.6 TEAM NAMES
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify you or your team(s) from the Game, or reject any team name if the Promoter believes that your team name and/or Mini League name is inappropriate or offensive. In addition, the Promoter reserves the right to rename the team in the name of the entrant or to apply such other name as the Promoter deems appropriate.
3.7 HOW TO SCORE
The player ratings and the Star Man award will be supplied by an independent ratings provider WHOSCORED.COM using their independent system of rating players.
The scoring system and points will be awarded as follows:
|Goal Scored (excluding own goals)||+5 points|
|Hat-trick (3 or more goals)||+5 points|
|Who Scored Star Man||+5 points|
|Who Scored Player Rating of 7 or more||+3 points|
|Yellow Card||-1 points|
|Red Card||-3 points|
|Penalty Saved or Missed||-3 points|
Goalkeepers and Defenders
|Clean Sheet (no goals conceded)||+5 points|
|2 Goals Conceded||-1 point|
|Each Goal Conceded Over two goals||-1 point|
|Penalty Save or Miss||+3 points|
The Promoter will use the OPTA Defined Assists statistics to determine assist points allocations as follows:
- A player making a pass with the direct intention to set up a successful goal attempt from an open play situation;
- A player taking a corner, throw-in or free kick where a goal is scored directly from it by another player;
- A player shoots or passes forcing the defender to put the ball into his own goal;
- A player who is awarded a penalty which is taken and scored by a team-mate.
Points for assists are only awarded to a player from the goal scoring team.
Two yellow cards leading to a red card will score as one red card in the Game i.e. -3 points in total.
If a Player receives a yellow card in an Eligible Match and subsequently receives a ‘straight’ red card in that same match, a total of 3 points will be deducted from the Player’s score. The Player will not have points deducted for the yellow card and the red card.
Points deducted in the Game for Yellow and Red Cards that are subsequently overruled will not be reinstated in the Game.
Substitutes who do not play at any time in an Eligible Match but are cautioned while ‘on the bench’ will not be deducted points in the Game. Deductions will apply if that player subsequently plays any part in that Eligible Match.
Who Scored Player Ratings and Star Man
Player ratings of 7.0 and above and Star Man points will be determined by WHOSCORED.COM.
The Star Man will be awarded to the player of the two competing teams with the highest player rating in any Eligible Match.
The ratings for all players and the Star Man award can change up until 15 minutes after the final whistle of any Eligible Match whilst more accurate player data is being collated and verified.
In the very few cases where OPTA and or WHOSCORED.COM statistics are not available the rating will be provided manually as close as possible to those criteria used by these agencies and decided by the Promoter at its sole discretion.
Penalty Save or Miss (as defined below)
Save or Miss is defined as a goal not being scored directly from the penalty spot.
Penalty Save or Miss points will be awarded or deducted (as the case may be) even if a goal is subsequently scored (e.g. from open play after the ball rebounds from the goalkeeper; or if the player deliberately passes the ball direct from the penalty kick).
Clean Sheet (no goals conceded): +5 points
2 Goals Conceded: -1 point
Each Goal Conceded Over two goals: -1 point
Clean Sheets and Goals Conceded
Substitutes who come on during an Eligible Match will be awarded and deducted points as if they had played for the full match.
Players substituted off will continue to be awarded and deducted points as if they had played the full match.
These ‘How to Score’ rules remain the same for matches involving extra time (e.g. for a goalkeeper or a defender to score clean sheet points in a match involving extra time, their team must not have conceded any goals by the end of that extra time). Goals, saves and misses during any penalty shoot-out do not contribute any points to the scoring system.
3.8 SCORING UPDATES
Full scoring including player ratings and Star Men points for Eligible Matches will provisionally be published on the Website and the App as soon as possible after each Eligible Match. Points updates will always be carried out as promptly as possible, however it may not always be possible to finalise points updates by the times stated.
We will use our reasonable endeavours to ensure that points which are calculated based on information supplied from OPTA and WHOSCORED.COM will be finalised and applied based on the live information received by the Promoter as at 15 minutes after the final whistle of the relevant Eligible Match.
Any subsequent corrections, changes and/or updates to that information from OPTA or WHOSCORED.COM after the Promoter has finalised the points will not be used in the points calculation and there will be no amendments to the scores of any entrants to the Game. However, the Promoter reserves the right at any point to update points, player ratings and the Star Man award.
If any Eligible Match is abandoned for any reason then that Eligible Match will cease to be treated as an Eligible Match for the purposes of the Game. If the match is replayed then the replay will be treated as an Eligible Match.
If an Eligible Match is completed and then a governing body subsequently determines that all or part of the Eligible Match is to be replayed only the initial match will be deemed an Eligible Match. Any replayed portion of that match will not be treated as an Eligible Match.
Any changes to the data of any Eligible Player subsequent to the processing of their scores will not be taken into account.
The decisions of the official ‘Dubious Goals Panel’ will not be taken into account.
The decision of the Promoter in all points scoring matters shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Players transferred or loaned from one Premier League club to another Premier League club will continue to score points for the purposes of the Game and will be considered to be an Eligible Player at the new Premier League club. Any Eligible Player transferred from one Premier League club to a non-Premier League club will have his points total frozen in the Game and will only resume scoring in the Game should he re-join a Premier League club.
SECTION 4. PLAYER VALUES AND VARIABLE PLAYER PRICING
If you transfer out a player who has increased in value since you purchased him you will be able to transfer in a new player of equal value or less than the value of the outgoing player at the time that you make the transfer in addition to any spare unspent funds in your player budget.
If you transfer out a player who has decreased in value since you purchased him then you can only transfer in a player of equal value or less than the value of the outgoing player at the time that you make the transfer in addition to any spare unspent funds in your player budget.
On the Friday of each Game Week we will update the value of your team’s players and show this in your team as well as in the ‘Stats’ section on the Website and in the App.
At the start of each Season, the Promoter will compile a select list of Premier League Players from each of the 20 Premier League clubs for you to choose from. Each Player will be given a fantasy value based on the previous season’s performances and their point scoring potential.
The Promoter will endeavour to introduce new Players to the Player List throughout the season as new Players join the league or as performance deserves.
Variable Player Pricing
Over the course of a season a Player’s value will change based on their point scoring performance.
At the end of each Game Week the Promoter will evaluate each Player’s point scoring performance against what was expected and shall calculate a new value (increase, decrease or remain unchanged).
The revised value for each Player will be applied and published on the Website and App at 07:00:00 every Friday after the completion of a Game Week
The maximum a Player’s value may increase or decrease per Game Week is £0.3m.
The first round of Variable Player Pricing updates will take place after the completion of Game Week 3 and thereafter until completion of the Regular Season.
The Promoter does not guarantee that it will enter into any correspondence relating to Variable Player Pricing.
SECTION 5 TRANSFERS AND GAME WEEKS
5.1 GAME WEEKS
The Regular Season is split up into 38 scoring periods known as Game Weeks.
For this Regular Season a Game Week will run from 00:00:01 on a Friday and ends at 23:59:59 on the following Thursday and will include all the Eligible Matches played during that period.
A Game Week will commence when scoring starts for the first Eligible Match played in that Game Week and end after the last Eligible Match game played in that Game Week.
A team’s weekly score will be calculated by reference to the total score earned from the Eligible Players in your team during all Eligible Matches in that Game Week.
5.2 TRANSFER ALLOWANCE
Managers can make a maximum of three Transfers to their team in each calendar month. Teams will be credited with three Transfers as of 00:00:01 on the first day of each calendar month from August 2017 to May 2018 as set out at Section 5.9 below
5.3 ELIGIBLE AND PENDING TRANSFERS
An eligible Transfer will take immediate effect and will occur if you transfer a player out for another player where neither the outgoing player’s club nor the incoming player’s club have played during the Game Week in which you make that Transfer.
A pending Transfer will take effect from the following Game Week and will occur if you transfer a player out for another player where either the outgoing player’s club or the incoming player’s club have already played or commenced playing during the Game Week in which you make that Transfer.
For example, if you transfer out Eden Hazard in Game Week 4 and replace him by transferring in Sadio Mané, that transfer will remain pending until Game Week 5 unless neither Chelsea nor Liverpool have commenced their matches yet during Game Week 4 in which case, that Transfer will take immediate effect in respect of Game Week 4.
All pending transfers will be confirmed after completion of the Game Week at 07:00:00 every Friday.
5.4 REVERSING TRANSFERS
Any Transfer that is made can be reversed up until the point that either the incoming Player’s club or the outgoing Player’s club have played in the current Game Week or before completion of the Game Week at 06:59:59 every Friday. After this time, Transfers cannot be reversed.
5.5 UNUSED TRANSFERS
Managers will have until 23:59:59 of the last day of the month to use these Transfers subject to Section 5.2 and 5.3 above.
Any unused transfers will not be carried over to the following month and will be removed from the team’s transfer allowance.
5.6 BONUS TRANSFERS
At any point during the Regular Season the Promoter reserves the right to credit all teams in the Season Competition with an additional bonus transfer or transfers above the monthly allowance whenever they see fit. Details of this bonus transfer will be communicated by the Promoter via the Website and App at the time.
5.7 UNLIMITED TRANSFERS
Managers will have an unlimited amount of Transfers available to their team up until up until kick-off of the first Eligible Match on Friday 11 August 2017. Any Transfers made after this point will be taken from your team’s transfer allowance.
5.8 TRANSFER BUDGET
A team’s initial transfer budget will be £50m and thereafter will be calculated by the prevailing value of all the Player’s in your team, together with any unused funds in your player budget at the time.
A Player’s value will change across the Regular Season meaning that a team’s available transfer budget will be affected by the performance of each Player in your team.

SECTION 6. SEASON COMPETITION LEADERBOARD AND MINI LEAGUES
For the Regular Season there will be one overall leaderboard, which lists the position of all teams in the Season Competition, ranking them on most points scored across the Regular Season to date.
All teams created will automatically be entered into this leaderboard and will be eligible for cash prizes.
Teams and their Eligible Players will score points based on their performance in all Eligible Matches.
A Manager’s team’s position in the published leaderboard at the end of the Regular Season is not an indication that you have won any cash prize. The Promoter will need to perform a series of checks before declaring any winners.
6.2 MINI LEAGUES
Managers will be able to create and join free Mini Leagues at any point in the Regular Season. Once successfully registered for the Game, you have the option to become a Mini League Chairman or to join an existing Mini League.
6.3 TYPES OF MINI LEAGUE
For this Regular Season, Chairmen can create either a Public or Private Mini League, as follows:
– A Public Mini League is one that any Manager can join. These leagues do not require a PIN to enter and can be found via a search facility in the League Hub section of the Website and/or App.
– A Private Mini League is one created by a Chairman that a Manager can join only if they have a unique PIN number for that Mini League or followed a link directly from an invitation.
The Promoter has discontinued its stakeholder service for Mini Leagues and does not offer any prizes in respect of the outcome of any of the Mini Leagues.
The Promoter will not accept any responsibility or liability regarding monies exchanged between Managers of any Mini League.
6.4 MINI LEAGUE SCORING FORMATS
Chairmen can also choose the scoring format of their Mini League upon creation:
– Standard Mini League is the normal way Mini Leagues are run, whereby Managers’ teams are ranked against each other based on the accumulated points earned across the duration of the entire Regular Season.
– Head to Head is where two Managers of a Mini League play against each other (the ‘fixture’ selected in rotation by the Promoter before scoring starts) with the outcome calculated in accordance with standard points scoring system.
Head to Head is a format where all the teams in a league are ranked on points earned in their Head to Head performance against other league teams over the course of the Regular Season.
Each Game Week will see the Mini League participants matched up in a Head to Head fixture. The winner is awarded three points in the fixture, the loser no points, and each Manager is awarded one point in the event of a draw (when both teams score the same number of points in that Game Week).
If there is an odd number of Managers belonging to a Head to Head Mini League then the remaining Manager in that Game Week will receive a bye and be awarded one point. The fixtures are randomly generated and depending on the amount of teams in your league, each team may receive an uneven number of byes.
6.5 CREATING REGULAR SEASON MINI LEAGUES
There is no limit to the number of Mini Leagues a Manager can create.
A Chairman can create a Mini League up until the start of the last Game Week of the Regular Season.
The Mini League finishing date is after the final Eligible Match of the Regular Season, usually the Champions League Final scheduled for 26 May 2018.
Upon creation of a Mini League a Chairman will need to set the following criteria:
– Mini League name. There is a maximum of 40 characters for a league name. Inappropriate league names will be deleted and replaced with your team name.
– Mini League scoring format. Standard or Head to Head as described above in Section 6.4.
All Standard Mini Leagues created before Regular Season kicks off will default to start scoring from Game Week 1 (Friday 11 August 2017).
Head to Head Mini Leagues will start scoring from Game Week 2 unless changed by the Chairman when setting up the Head to Head Mini League.
Any Mini Leagues created post scoring will start scoring from the next available Game Week.
A Chairman can select any future Game Week for scoring to start up until the final Game Week of the Regular Season.
– Mini League entry deadline.
Teams can join a Standard Mini League after scoring has commenced. An existing team’s total points earned before joining will be added to their league points immediately. Newly created teams will begin on zero points.
The Promoter reserves the right to close entry to a Mini League at any point in the Season.
– Mini League privacy setting. The Chairman will be able to select whether a Mini League is a Public Mini League or a Private Mini League as described above in Section 6.4.
– Maximum number of team entries into your Mini League. All Standard Mini Leagues will default to ‘unlimited’ but can be changed to a maximum number of Teams per Mini League by the Chairman.
Where the Mini League is a Head to Head league the maximum number of teams is 40 due to the number of weeks in the Regular Season.
6.6 JOINING A MINI LEAGUE
A Manager may join a Public Mini League without any invitation. This can be done via the search facility available in the League Hub. No PIN is required upon joining.
To join a Private Mini League you will need to be invited by the Chairman or be issued with the unique PIN of that Mini League. Managers who follow the invite link from a direct invitation will not be required to enter the PIN.
A Manager can enter up to five teams in any one Mini League. There is no limit to the number of Mini Leagues a single team can join.
6.7 REMOVING TEAMS FROM A MINI LEAGUE
The following rules apply to removal of teams from Mini Leagues:
A Chairman is allowed to remove a Manager, and a Chairman and Manager may remove themselves from a Mini League before scoring in the league has started.
A Chairman cannot remove another Manager, and a Manager may not remove themselves from a Free Mini League after scoring in that league has started.
This is not allowed as it will affect the league set up and scoring structure.
SECTION 7. SEASON COMPETITION PRIZES
Prize distribution for the Season Competition is as follows:
|Prize position||Prize money|
|PRIZE TOTAL POOL||£250,000|
The points scored for each Manager’s team in each Game Week is accumulated throughout the Regular Season. The winners of the Season Competition are determined by the verified positions in this leaderboard created by these accumulated points at the end of the Regular Season.
If two or more Managers share a place in the top 10 positions then the relevant total prize pool of the tied entrants will be shared equally.
For example, if there are two teams tied for third place, the prize allocated to each tied entrant will be made up of the prize for third and fourth added together, then divided by two.
If the number of tied entrants for a prize extend beyond tenth place then the prizes will be awarded according to the time and date of entry of the eligible Managers in order of the earliest entry down to the final position for that prize.
Tied entrants past the tenth position for that prize according to this ranking process will not receive a prize.
Under no circumstances will the Promoter award more than 10 prizes for the Season League. The Promoter’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
SECTION 8. WEEKENDER COMPETITION
In addition to the Regular Season Competition, there is also our Free-to-Play Weekender Competition format that will commence from the beginning of the course of the Season
with a total prize pot of £300,000 or more over the Season.
8.2 TEAM CREATION
Managers are allowed to have just one (1) team entry for each Game Period. Managers pick a team of just seven Players with no limit on their total value or clubs they belong to. Teams will score points during the Game Period for a single set of Weekender fixtures (Saturday and Sunday only unless changed from time to time by the Promoter).
For each Game Period a Manager has to create a new team. Unless a Manager creates a new team then they will not score points, be eligible for the leaderboard for that Game Period and will not be eligible for any of its prizes.
8.3 TEAM SELECTION
Your team for each Game Period must consist of SEVEN eligible players as follows:
There are no restrictions on team budget. You may select any Player of any value regardless of their stated value at the time of team selection.
There is no limit to the number of Players you may select from any one club. If you wish you can choose all seven Players from your favourite club.
Scoring of Eligible Players in all Weekender Competitions will be calculated using the same scoring system as the Season Competition as set out in Section 3.7. However, the Promoter may from time to time introduce special bonuses for specific Game Periods. For example, the Promoter may introduce for a Game Period that all players from a certain club may get double points during that Game Period. Any such bonus will be clearly indicated on the Website and on the Apps at the commencement of that particular Game Period.
Normally there are 9 or 10 Eligible Matches that take place for a Game Period. If there are less than six Eligible Matches that occur during a Game Period, either through postponement or abandonment of fixtures or lack of fixtures due to Cup activity then that Weekender Competition will be void and no points will be attributed.
If an Eligible Player does not participate for any reason in the scheduled Eligible Matches in any Weekender Competition then he will score zero points.
8.5 TEAM NAMES
Rules for Team names are as for the Season Competition, as set out at Section 3.6.
8.6 SCORING UPDATES
Scoring will be updated on the same terms as the Season Competition.
Managers will be able to view the Weekender teams they selected for the previous Game Period via the GW scroll bar on the My Team page. Those Game Periods that do not have an entry will show as blank with “-“ score (not zero) and no team.
Managers that are drawn in a Head to Head competition who do not create a team for that Game Period will surrender the tie with 3 points being awarded to the opposing Manager.
If neither Manager in a Head to Head tie creates a team for that Game Period then no points will be awarded to either Manager.
SECTION 9. WEEKENDER LEADERBOARDS AND MINI LEAGUES
9.1 WEEKENDER LEADERBOARDS
As each Weekender Competition game is independent of any other there will be no continuing leaderboard although a Manager’s cumulative total will be shown for the purposes of the Mini Leagues. There will be individual leaderboards for each Game Period and each Mini League.
Your position in a published leaderboard at the end of any competition is not an indication that you have won any cash prize. The Promoter will need to perform a series of checks before declaring any winners.
9.2 MINI LEAGUES
Managers will be able to create and join free Weekender Mini Leagues at any point in the Season. Once successfully registered for the Game, you have the option to become a Chairman for a Weekender Mini League or to join an existing Weekender Mini League. The guide for creating or joining Mini Leagues is described in Section 9.4.
9.3 TYPES OF MINI LEAGUE
There are two kinds of Mini League available for the Weekender Competition and Chairmen can create either a Public Mini League or a Private Mini League, where:
– Public Mini League is one created by a Chairman that any Manager can join. Public leagues do not require a PIN to enter and can be found via a search facility in the League Hub section of the Website and/or App.
– Private Mini League is one created by a Chairman that a Manager can join only if invited to do so by a Chairman who issues a unique PIN number for that Mini League.
The Promoter does not offer any prizes in respect of the outcome of any of the Mini Leagues.
Chairmen can also choose the format of their Mini League:
– Standard Mini League is the normal way Mini Leagues are run, whereby Managers’ teams are ranked against each other based on points they accumulate across the duration of the league.
– Head to Head is where two Managers of a Mini League play against each other (the ‘fixture’ selected randomly in rotation by the Promoter before scoring starts) with the outcome calculated in accordance with standard points scoring system. The winner is awarded three points in the fixture, the loser no points, and each Manager is awarded one point in the event of a draw (when both Managers score the same number of standard points).
If there is an odd number of Managers belonging to a Head to Head Mini League then the remaining Manager in that Game Period will receive a bye and be awarded one point. The fixtures are randomly generated and depending on the amount of teams in your league, each team may receive an uneven number of byes.
9.4 CREATING WEEKENDER COMPETITION MINI LEAGUES
The following rules apply:
There is no limit to the number of Mini Leagues a Chairman can create.
There is no limit to the number of Mini Leagues a Manager can join.
A Chairman can create a Mini League up until the start of the last Game Period of the Season.
A Manager can enter their one Weekender team in any Mini League.
The Mini League finishing date is after the final Game Period of the season.
If you become a Mini League Chairman you will need to set up the Mini League start round: This has to be the start of a particular Game Period and can be any time up to the penultimate Weekender game of the Season.
Mini League format: Standard Mini League or Head to Head as described at Section 9.4.
Mini League privacy setting: Public or Private as described above.
Maximum number of team entries into your Mini League: Where the Mini League is a Head to Head league the maximum number of teams is 40 due to the number of weeks in the Regular Season.
9.5 JOINING OR LEAVING A WEEKENDER COMPETITION, SEASON LONG MINI LEAGUE
Once successfully registered, any Manager may join a Public Weekender Mini League without any invitation. They can do so via the search facility available on the site. No PIN is necessary.
To join a Private Weekender Mini League you will need to be invited by the Chairman and be issued with the unique PIN of that Weekender Mini League.
The following rules apply to removal of Managers from Weekender Mini Leagues:
A Chairman is allowed to remove a Manager, and a Chairman and Manager may remove themselves from a Mini League before scoring in the league has started.
A Chairman cannot remove another Manager, and a Manager may not remove themselves from a Free Mini League after scoring in that league has started.
This is not allowed as it will affect the league set up and scoring structure.
The Promoter reserve the right to close entry to a Mini League or Leagues at any point during the Season.
SECTION 10. WEEKENDER COMPETITION PRIZES
10.1 PRIZE ALLOCATION
The Weekender Competition has a total prize pool of £300,000 to be paid out in individual Weekender game prizes over the course of the Season. The actual prize total for each Game Period may vary as may its distribution to individual prize winners.
For example, for one Game Period the total prize allocation may be £5,000 distributed to ten highest scoring Managers for that Weekender game at £500 each. For another Game Period, it may be £2,500 to be allocated to the highest point scorer of that Game Period.
For a Manager to win any Weekender Competition prize, their single team must be registered in accordance with Section 3 and have their entry confirmed. Before any prize is paid out, the potential winner will have their registration particulars checked together with an age verification check. Where there is any failure to pass these eligibility checks, the prize will be forfeited and will be awarded to the next placed Manager subject to their own eligibility.
Details of each Weekender prize for the forthcoming Game Period and its distribution will be posted in advance on the Website and the App.
If two or more Managers are placed within the winning positions allocated for a Game Period and share the same score, then the relevant total prize pool of the tied entrants allocated for those finishing positions will be shared equally between the tied Managers.
For example, if there are two teams tied for third place, the prize allocated to each tied entrant will be made up of the prize for third and fourth added together, then divided by two.
If the number of tied entrants for a prize extend beyond the total numbers of places allocated for that Game Period then the prizes will be awarded according to the time and date of entry of the eligible Managers in order of the earliest entry down to the final position for that prize. Tied entrants past the total number of allocated winning position for a Game Period according to this ranking process will not receive a prize.
The Promoter’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Once payments have been sent to your account, the Promoter is unable to transfer funds to a different account.
If the attempted prize payment to you fails for any reason such as the transaction is not accepted by the issuing bank then we will also attempt to contact you by the mobile number and/or email address you have provided to us when registering for the Game or updated by you subsequently, and arrange appropriate payment to you.
We reserve the right to suspend the payment of winnings in the event of the occurrence of an event outside our control which might include: network failures, malfunctions to our systems, war, terrorist activity, riots, malicious damage, fire, flood, storm, nuclear accident or compliance with any new law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction.
