‘Siri, show me a moment which sums up Man United’s season?’
The Red Devils, needing inspiration from somewhere late on to salvage something against their greatest rivals.
Unfortunately this was never going to be that.
As the game was getting away from United at 3-1 down, Marouane Fellaini controlled a hopeful long punt forward.
The goal opened up a tad… was this there way of creating a grandstand finish?
No, no it wasn’t.
Instead, the safety of the local stewards was more under threat as Fellaini managed to shank his shot so much that it nearly flew out for a throw.
In fact, if you watch closely enough, one steward appears to not see it coming at all and fall dramatically off his seat.
Liverpool had 36 shots and even when United’s central midfielders were completely anonymous, Paul Pogba remained on the bench.
