The cold weather is terrible news for Jean Michael Seri and all Fulham fans

Fulham's best player might not be himself until next April

No one likes playing football in the cold.

Turning up to a frozen pitch, the ground hard as concrete and the sting of the ball hitting your cold thigh stays with you all week.

But that shouldn’t be a problem for Premier League footballers, should it?

Praying for warm weather

Fulham have been a disaster in the Premier League so far.

Since coming up from the Championship West London has been the place to go to see goals, unfortunately most have been scored against Fulham.

The Cottagers have conceded 13 goals at home and another 15 away – the most in the league.

But despite the misery around the defence flagship summer signing Jean Michael Seri has been a shining light.

Unfortunately for Fulham fans the one positive this season could be about to come to an abrupt end.

Seri arrived as a £35million shock transfer from Nice after interest from Barcelona, Arsenal and a host of top clubs.

But the Ivorian has one serious defect that could stop him playing at full tilt until next April, he can’t play in the cold.

That’s right, Seri suffers from a medical condition that means he can’t train or play properly in during cold weather – a big problem as England freezes over for winter.

Before Seri made the move to London he revealed that he is definitely a warm weather kinda guy.

“I have ingrown toenails and when it’s cold I need special treatment,” he admitted to Le Point. “I don’t see myself playing in a country where it’s cold. I hurt everywhere and I struggle to train.”

Seri is Fulham’s third most expensive player on Dream Team and is also their third highest scorer with 18 points this season.

With the team languishing in 18th place with a -17 goal difference this would be the worst possible time to lose one of their best players.

We don’t mean to rub it in but it’s 20°C in Barcelona this week.
