Ronnie recently said of Silva, “When I retire, Portugal will be in good shape. They have already found a great striker. Andre Silva.”

No pressure young man…

He has certainly started this season pressure free, bagging an impressive seven goals in seven games.

That puts him well ahead ot the likes of Luis Suarez, Antoine Griezmann and of course Ronaldo’s nemesis; Lionel Messi.

That earned him a move to the Italian giants, AC Milan.

However things didn’t quite go to plan at the San Siro last season, where he managed just ten goals in 40 games.

Milan lost patience and went out to sign Gonzalo Higuain, opening the door for Silva to leave on loan.

That is exactly what Silva did, moving to sunny Seville for the season ahead.

Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso claimed he didn’t want Silva to leave this summer, but the player forced the loan.

No doubt the fiery Italian will be keeping close tabs on a man dominating La Liga.

He was rotated at the World Cup, starting two of the four games, but you feel he will be one of the first names on the team sheet after such a blistering start to the campaign.

Portugal’s new hero?

Silva scored two in a man of the match performance against Ronaldo’s old team Real Madrid last week.

This drew even more comparisons between the 22 year-old Silva and his national team captain.

Eusebio, Luis Figo and Ronaldo.

Is it time to make room for one more in Andre Silva?
