Premier League mascots are making a name for themselves.
Watford’s Harry the Hornet has made the headlines in the last season or so after an engaging in an ongoing feud with Wilfried Zaha.
Man United’s Fred the Red was used to unveil his playing namesake as the Brazilian midfielder joined this summer.
But Huddersfield’s Terry the Terrier has let the art of mascoting down this weekend.
During their Premier League defeat to Spurs on Saturday, the visitors were awarded a penalty towards the end of the first half.
With Harry Kane going through his usual pre-spotkick routine before stepping up to score, an eagle eyed fan spotted Huddersfield’s mascot in the background.
Yep, that’s a floss… and not a particularly good one either.
We’re guessing there’s a time and a place for something like this… and this probably wasn’t it.
Kane predictably tucked the penalty away, but there’s no confirmation if Terry carried on flossing while the Spurs players were celebrating.
