Cristiano Ronaldo will DEFINITELY miss Juventus’ clash with Man United in the Champions League

Ronaldo's difficult start to life in Turin continues, after he sees red just half an hour into their Champions League group stage opener

Stop everything, because the King of the Champions League has been SENT OFF in his first appearance in the competition for Juventus.

That’s right, Cristiano Ronaldo has seen red after just 29 minutes in Juve’s opening group stage clash with Valencia – meaning his first European outing for the Old Lady has ended rather abruptly.

So what on earth happened?

Well, with the score locked at 0-0, Ronaldo seemed to clash with Valencia defender Jeison Murillo in an off-the-ball incident.

Juve were in possession at the time, running down left-wing with Ronaldo looking to get on the end of a potential cross.

However, his marker suddenly went down clutching his head, which caused Ronaldo to square up to him.

The referee almost instantly pulled out the red card, with Murillo claiming the former Real Madrid man pulled his hair while he was down on the ground.

Unfortunately, it’s quite hard to tell from the replays, but either way, Ronaldo was forced to leave the pitch by the referee and did so in tears; this being his first red card in the Champions League.

This means Ronaldo will miss Juve’s upcoming double-header against Man United, as this will likely mean a three-game suspension.

The Portuguese superstar’s start to life in Turin has not exactly gone to plan so far, as he only managed to score his first goal for the Italian giants at the weekend.
