On your way to being the best you’re inevitably going to make a lot of enemies.
And no player is derided and picked apart more for his every single move than Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo stunned the world of football this summer by switching Spain for Italy in a £99m move to Juventus and pastures new.
- Alisson’s flick over the top of Knockaeart is the most outrageous thing you’ll see this weekend

But a change of scenery hasn’t stopped his character assassination, namely supposedly not celebrating his team-mates’ goals.
The allegation dates back to his Real Madrid days when fans felt Ronaldo would throw a tantrum if another Real player – particularly Gareth Bale – scored at his expense.
And the accusations were there again during Juventus’ 2-0 win over Lazio on Saturday after Mario Mandzukic tucked home:
Ronaldo initially appears to throw his arms down in frustration after he failed to score, leading to a barrage of abuse online for not being a ‘team player.’
Sure the five-time Ballon d’Or winner might have been disappointed by his finishing, but these pictures certainly don’t suggest he refused to celebrate with Mandzukic.
There’s no denying there are a lot of people who are pleading that Ronaldo fails in Italy with a relentless agenda of selfishness.
But, despite not scoring in his first two games, the inevitable will happen and the goals will come.
