A NEW season brought a new look for Julian Nagelsmann.
Hoffenheim’s boss took his team to the Allianz Arena on Friday where they were beaten 3-1 by Bayern Munich, winners of the last six Bundesliga titles.
And while the visitors may not have had a drastic makeover in the summer transfer window, it appeared their manager had.
The 31-year-old, who will take charge of RB Leipzig next season, revealed he had made an attempt to spruce up his appearance.
Nagelsmann’s new hairdo appeared to be joined by some make-up and trimmed eyebrows.
He said to German newspaper Bild: “Women are always allowed to make chic, so I thought that you can do it as a man too.
“I tried it. I hope it was reasonably successful.”
Nagelsmann’s team wasn’t, though, in the German league’s curtain-raiser.
Adam Szalai scored an equaliser for Hoffenheim just before the hour-mark after Thomas Muller had put the champions ahead.
But Robert Lewandowski converted a penalty eight minutes from time and Arjen Robben confirmed the win for Bayern in added time.
Nagelsmann may look different, but some things don’t change.
