Anyone who’s tried to get through pre-season in a brand new pair of boots will know the pain that comes with each step.

It’s almost impossible to avoid blisters. However the Nike PhantomVSN promises to eliminate that.

Designer Phil Woodman explained: “Players have long been accustomed to the rigours of breaking in their boots, but the PhantomVSN is match-ready right out of the box.”

The makeup of the boot, or ‘internal Quadfit mesh bootie’ if you want to use the official Nike language, means it will conform to fit any foot size but won’t overstretch.

Nike’s Ghost Lace system mean the laces can be hidden to give you more room to leather the ball top corner.

A small-sided version will also be available for all the 5-a-side wizards out there. All aboard the nutmegs.

The first silo will be available on 18 July with the following silo available on the 30 July and the third version out on 6 August. For more information head to Nike news
