LIVERPOOL have suffered a fresh transfer blow after being told top target Alisson is “very happy at AS Roma” and is “content” to stay in Italy.
The Reds have been linked with a move for the Brazilian goalkeeper for months and that intensified after Loris Karius’ display in the Champions League final.
Serie A side Roma are determined to hold onto their No1.

And it looks like Alisson will be going nowhere judging by his international goalkeeping coach’s comments.
Claudio Taffarel, who helped the Samba Boys to win the 1994 World Cup, told Tele Radio Stereo: “Alisson is very happy at Roma and the rumours of a transfer are just rumours.
“I don’t know what will happen, but he said he’d be content to remain at Roma.”
Liverpool’s pursuit of another top target collapsed over the weekend.
Jurgen Klopp was on the verge of making Lyon star Nabil Fekir his second signing of the summer before the deal was shelved at the last minute due to a problem that arose from the midfielder’s medical.
Meanwhile Alisson, who kept a clean sheet as Brazil defeated Austria last night, has also received a boost ahead of his arrival in Russia.
He is competing for a place with Manchester City ‘keeper Ederson for Brazil, but Taffarel has openly admitted he thinks the Liverpool target is the best man for the job.

He added: “Alisson is only a year older than Ederson, but has grown so much, ever since he was given the starting role against Venezuela.
“He is a step above Ederson right now, as the Manchester City man can improve with his feet and in terms of experience.
“Alisson could be named among the best goalkeepers in the world, along with Thibaut Courtois, David De Gea and Manuel Neuer.”
