Leroy Sane DROPPED from Germany’s final World Cup squad

Danny Welbeck is going to the World Cup and Leroy Sane isn’t.

Just let that sink in.

That’s after the news this morning that the Man City whizkid has astonishingly been dropped from Germany’s final tournament squad.

The on-fire winger, 22, has failed to make final 23-man squad as Joachim Low opts for the likes of Julian Draxler and Julian Brandt instead.

Sane had been in scintillating form in 2017-18 but is the man to miss out as Die Mannschaft’s winless run continues.

The news has had huge repercussions for Dream Team World Cup too.

Thousands of you – including myself – had picked Sane in their teams at a tidy price of just £4m.

But all of you have now got a decision to make over who comes in as his replacement.

From the German contingent the likes of Mesut Ozil (£4m), Marco Reus (£3.5m) and Leon Goretzka (£2.5m) certainly look like able deputies.

But after a truly stunning season for City, where he contributed 31 goals in all competitions, we’re all left scratching our heads.
