West Ham’s strategy of seeking to morph into the Man City side of 2013 is gaining momentum.
The club have confirmed that Manuel Pellegrini has taken over from David Moyes as Hammers boss.
The 64-year-old Chilean flew in for talks over the weekend, and agreed terms with the club’s hierarchy last night.
Moyes was released by the club at the end of his contract following a 13th place Premier League finish.
The former Man United manager was offered a deal approximately four weeks ago, which he was hesitant to sign.
Pellegrini won the Premier League with City in 2013/14 and is set to be reunited to Joe Hart, Pablo Zabaleta and possible Yaya Toure, if the Ivorian lowers his wage demands and agrees to the move.
Also, that announcement photo seems to an accidental leak of the new kit.
Classic West Ham.
