Dry your eyes mate.
Jack Butland was visibly distraught after Stoke’s relegation to the Championship was confirmed following their defeat to Crystal Palace.
The England international has had a disappointing season by his standards, but his career isn’t expected to be damaged too much by the relegation blow.
After the final whistle, Butland broke into tears as the prospect of playing in the second tier dawned on him.
Xherdan Shaqiri had given Stoke a glimmer of hope after he gave them the lead before half-time.
James McArthur then equalised for Palace before Patrick van Aanholt put the final nail in the Potter’s Premier League coffin.
Nobody really knows why Butland was so upset after Stoke’s relegation was made official.
The shot-stopper is surely one of a few players who will have no problem with finding a better club for next season.

Butland has already been linked to a host of top clubs and could be England’s No1 at the World Cup in the summer.
A strong showing in Russia for Gareth Southgate’s side will only boost his chances of getting a move away from the Bet365 Stadium.
