Poor old James Milner.
The Liverpool utility man just can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to playing against Roma.
Sadio Mane had given the visitors the lead in their Champions League semi-final second leg away in Rome, before parity was restored in the most bizarre way.
Alessandro Florenzi looked up and whipped the ball in towards Edin Dzeko.
The ball went over the Bosnian striker but was recovered well at the back-post by Stephan El Shaarawy.
Dejan Lovren was first to the Italian’s knock-down and looked to clear the ball wide.
Unbelievably, the ball ricocheted off the poor unsuspecting head of Milner who wasn’t even looking.
Good header, to be fair.
The ball rolled past Loris Karius.
Milner’s face says it all, the look of a guilty man.
Just like his Liverpool team-mate Firmino, Milner seems to have mastered the no-look finish.
The technique is all there, Milner just has to make sure it’s in the right goal next time.
Fans certainly enjoyed the calamitous moment…
