Everyone needs a bit of N’Golo Kante in their lives.
The 2017 PFA Player of the Year has been magnificent once again this season despite Chelsea as a whole failing to match their title-winning effort from 2016/17.
Kylian Mbappe has been so impressed by his compatriot he’s urged PSG to sign the energetic midfielder this summer.
The 19-year-old forward reckons his international team-mate is just what the Ligue 1 champions-elect are missing.
When asked which one player he would like to join the club, Mbappe told beIN Sports: “Kante, according to our needs and also the quality of the player.
“I think he’s a player that would suit our team perfectly.
“He is French, bring back a Frenchman for the attractiveness of our Championship, it would be good.
“I think all the French like N’Golo Kante, and it would be a pleasure to have him in our league.”
Kante joined Chelsea from Leicester in July 2016 for £30million.
He became only the second player to win back-to-back Premier League titles with different clubs following the Foxes’ shock triumph in the 2015/16 season.
PSG have plenty of firepower up front in the form of Mbappe, Neymar and Edinson Cavani but their midfield was left somewhat exposed by Real Madrid in the Champions League.
The Parisian club signed free agent Lassana Diarra earlier this season to bolster their ranks but will surely be looking to bring in a high-profile defensive midfielder in the summer.
There is absolutely no indication Kante is unhappy at Chelsea or that the club would be willing to sell him.
Mbappe is just dreaming… for now.
