Jurgen Klopp will not be a happy man after seeing this one again.
The German manager watched his Liverpool side draw 0-0 with a spirited Stoke City side in their Premier League clash at Anfield.
Stoke were dealt a huge slice of luck, after Liverpool’s late appeals for a penalty were waved away by referee Andre Marriner and the linesman.
Erik Pieters saw the ball hit his hand in the box in the 87th minute after Georginio Wijnaldum tried a cross, no penalty was given though.
Klopp spoke post-match and declared that, “obviously it looked like a penalty, if football is fair then we would have taken the three points.”
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson also berated the decision, describing it as a “clear and blatant penalty.”
Liverpool can feel hard done by, especially as they were penalised for a controversial handball against James Milner in midweek against Roma.
