Is Wolves’ Premier League promotion behind Kanye West’s Twitter return?

Kanye West's return to Twitter is, almost certainly, because of Wolves' promotion to the Premier League

In case you missed it, Kanye West is back on Twitter.

He jumped back on the social media platform on 14 April, ending a long hiatus that probably went straight over your head.

It means we can now see pearls of wisdom like this…

But what does this all have to do with football?

Well, it’s because of Wolves’s promotion to the Premier League that Kanye is back in our online lives.

We’re almost certain about that.

Back on Valentine’s Day 2016 Kanye tweeted out that he was going to fix Wolves.

Kenny Jackett’s side had just lost 2-1 at home to Preston, taking their winless run to five games.

Wolves were sitting 12th in the Championship and would drop as low as 15th before the season was over.

The squad was lacking excitement.

Benik Afobe was the main attraction and everything was just a bit glum, hence why Kanye stepped in to fix them.

Fast forward two years and Wolves are potentially the most exciting side the Championship has ever seen, boasting talent like Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota.

So Kanye has delivered on his promise to fix Wolves.

Is it a coincidence that the same weekend Wolves confirmed promotion to the Premier League Kanye returned to Twitter?

We think not.

In fact his very first tweet came on the same day Fulham’s draw to Brentford confirmed a return to the top flight after a six-year absence.

You might think one of the best-selling artists of all time and a second-tier club from the West Midlands have nothing in common, but you’d be wrong.

When Wolves take their first steps in the Premier League next season remember who this is all down to.

Jorge Mendes who?
