Anything Roma can do, Juventus can do bigger and better.
Honestly, we thought we’d seen the biggest comeback of the Champions League this season when Roma defeated Barcelona in last night’s quarter-final clash.
But it looks like Juve have something to say about that, having gone 3-0 up over Real Madrid at the Bernabeu this evening.
Mario Mandzukic was the hero of the first-half by netting twice to put Juve 2-0 in front at the break, but it was Blaise Matuidi who hit the all-important third for the Old Lady in the second-half.
On the hour-mark, Douglas Costa curled in an inviting cross from the left side which should’ve been easy catch for Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
But the Costa Rican dropped the ball at the feet of Matuidi, who certainly didn’t think twice before flicking the ball into the back of the net.
If this mistake really does cost Madrid their place in the last four of the competition this season, then Navas will surely be off in the summer.
The goalie has never been a popular figure at Los Blancos, despite often being considered one of the most underrated goalkeepers around.
So, that’s David De Gea to Madrid this summer more-or-less confirmed then, right?
