Jamal Blackman and Ryan Woods both saw red in a bizarre clash during Sheffield United’s 1-1 draw at Brentford.
The mismatched duo battled for the ball in the aftermath of Chris Mepham’s equaliser on 68 minutes.
Blades keeper Blackman picked the ball out of the net as Bees midfielder Woods tried to beat him to it.

Blackman, standing at 6ft7in, used his height advantage to keep the ball out of Woods’ reach by holding it above the head of his opponent – who is ten inches shorter than on-loan Chelsea stopper.
Woods appeared to grab Blackman around the neck as he looked for a quick restart so Bees could go in search of a winner that would propel them closer to the play-off spots.
Blackman retaliated by pushing Woods in the face, before referee Jeremy Simpson showed both players straight red cards.
But a point is of more use to Chris Wilder’s Blades, who took the lead through Chris Basham and move to within a point of the play-off spots ahead of Friday night’s clash between Boro and Wolves.
Brentford are 11th, two places below their hosts, and seven points from the play-off places.
