Hold onto your hats people… the real life, actual James Milner has joined Twitter.
Yes, you read that right.
Since July 2013, the parody account @BoringMilner has been blessing us into what life might (is definitely) like for the Liverpool and England midfielder.
It has portrayed the utility man as a fairly reserved and, well, boring character. That persona is, of course, a joke – and the midfielder’s first tweet since joining the platform proves exactly that.
After the parody account tweeted this…
… Milner had the perfect response.
Absolutely sterling work from Mr Milner there.
Needless to say the reaction from the rest of the Twitter world was overwhelmingly buzzing about the news.
- Letting Jack Wilshere leave Arsenal would be Arsene Wenger’s biggest error
- International teams choosing friendly opponents because of geography is utterly ridiculous
- 14 Premier League stats from this season that sound like bulls**t but are actually true
