BAYERN MUNICH want Mauricio Pochettino to replace Jupp Heynckes in the summer, according to reports.
The Bundesliga outfit will part ways with their veteran boss, 72, after he was drafted in following Carlo Ancelotti’s sacking.
And Bild claims Tottenham chief Pochettino is their preferred choice after his stellar work at White Hart Lane.
Their report goes on to state that Bayern bigwigs know the Spurs man is a tricky target as he is happy in North London.
Poch has also been linked with the Real Madrid job and a return to Spain is the most likely option if the Argie does decide to leave.
The former Southampton chief has cemented Spurs’ place among the top six and masterminded some stunning results in Europe this season.
And while he failed to mount a third successive title challenge, Pochettino continues to develop a promising young squad.
Spurs are moving into their new home next season and are very much a club on the up with high-value assets like Harry Kane and Dele Alli.
But Bayern would offer the chance to recruit world-class stars every window as well as a relatively easy route to domestic success.
Poch has failed to life any silverware as a manager, although he scooped two Copa del Rey trophies and the Argentine league title before hanging up his boots.
