Most footballers on the continent put their feet up during the Winter break.
But Neymar’s annual holiday appears to arrive in mid-March.
The PSG forward will reportedly miss the next two months with an ankle injury after being stretchered off in the Le Classique win over Marseille at the weekend.
The news is a hammer blow to the Parisiens’ Champions League hopes – but conveniently perfect timing for Neymar himself.
That’s because it allows him to make his sister Rafaella Santos’ birthday back in Brazil for the FOURTH year in a row.
Last season the Brazil star suffered a suspicious adductor injury while playing for Barcelona, while the previous two years he was suspended on both occasions on March 11.
The duo are practically attached at the hip and the Brazilian forward has a massive tattoo of her face on his upper arm.
There’s almost certainly nothing to it, but at least the small consolation for Neymar is he’ll be able to celebrate his sister’s special day again.
Rafaella was reportedly dating her brother’s Brazilian team-mate Gabriel Barbosa – or Gabigol – last year.
