In recent weeks, Manchester City have been sniffing around Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred.
And after witnessing his free-kick in their Champions League clash against Roma this evening, we can see why.
The Brazilian, who’s just one of many South Americans turning out for the side, has been outstanding in the Ukrainian Premier League this season and is tipped to follow former Shakhtar stars Willian and Fernandinho to England some day soon.
And if he does make the move, then we’ll certainly look forward to seeing him step up for set pieces.
Against Roma, who boast Fred’s brilliant compatriot Alisson between the sticks, Fred hit one of the most beautiful free-kicks we’ve ever seen.
Seriously, check this out.
Alisson has been superb for the Serie A giants this season – with Liverpool eyeing a mega-money move for him in the summer – so Fred certainly needed to pull off something special to beat him.
The 24-year-old, who started his career with Brazilian side Internacional before moving to Donetsk, has been earmarked as a long-term successor to the ageing Fernandinho at City, who himself switched between the clubs in 2013.
One to keep an eye on.
