Neymar’s world-record move to PSG last summer was never going to happen quietly.
The Brazilian, as you would expect, has taken France by storm this season since his jaw-dropping £198m switch from Barcelona.
Neymar has 18 goals and 11 assists in 17 Ligue 1 appearances this campaign and is preparing to down Real Madrid in the Champions League next week.
But rumours about the 26-year-old’s behaviour and demands have been rife in recent months.
According to numerous reports Neymar’s attitude to training isn’t quite up to standards, cutting a forlorn and disinterested figure at times.
So he probably won’t appreciate team-mate Adrien Rabiot effectively confirming he – and Kylian Mbappe too – gets special treatment at the club.
French midfielder Rabiot told L’Equipe: “He is necessarily someone who has some privileges. Kylian does, too.
“It doesn’t bother me and I don’t pay it any attention. I’m not jealous of either.”
Sure you’re not, Adrien.
Neymar and Mbappe’s astronomical wages in Paris were leaked in L’Equipe this week, while Rabiot doesn’t even feature inside the top 30 Ligue 1 earners:
- Ronaldinho and Neymar once played out arguably the best game of football ever
- Opinions are split over Neymar’s actions during win against Rennes
- Neymar is only the second player ever to receive a 10/10 match rating from L’Equipe
