Luis Enrique has already identified his first target if replaces Antonio Conte as Chelsea boss

The out-of-work former Barcelona manager is taking a break from the game but has been linked with Stamford Bridge job

LUIS ENRIQUE will target Luis Suarez if he becomes Antonio Conte’s replacement at Chelsea, according to reports.

The Italian is under more pressure than ever following last night’s 4-1 humiliation at the hands of Watford.

And club hero Ray Wilkins believes the players have already given up on Conte – who just last year guided them to the Premier League title in his first season in English football.

Out-of-work Enrique, who is taking time off after stepping down from the Barcelona gig, is the favourite to succeed Conte.

And prominent Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda claims he will raid old club Barca for a striker should he land the job.

Inda said: “The great goal of Luis Enrique if he signs for Chelsea would be to sign Luis Suarez.”

However, it has also been claimed in other areas of the Spanish press that Suarez is happy alongside Lionel Messi at the Nou Camp.

Such a move remains at the moment, of course, a long way off.

Conte remains in the job – despite having to ask Blues owner Roman Abramovich for backing.

Bookies Paddy power even suspended betting on Conte being axed today following last night’s result.

Speaking after the embarrassment at Vicarage Road, Azpilicueta said: “Obviously it is a massive setback for us. Against Bournemouth we conceded three goals in 15 minutes.

“In periods like that when we are bad, we need to try to manage it, to try to pass the time in the best way possible and then try to get the win from a corner, free kick, you never know.

“Against Watford, the first half performance was not the kind we have to do. We did the most difficult thing and that is to come back to make it 1-1 but in the last 10 minutes we conceded three goals.

“We are Chelsea and are a big club. Even when we lose just one game, it’s a bad time for us. To lose two in a row is even worse.”
