Leicester star Riyad Mahrez should to be worth £145million just like Philippe Coutinho, according to the stats.
The Algerian winger, 26, is the centre of the big transfer deadline day deal as he looks to force through a move to Manchester City.
Mahrez has handed in a transfer request after City made a shock £60m bid for the Leicester star.
The Foxes have no intention of selling on the cheap, and it is understood they have valued the wide man in excess of £100m – and rightly so.
Mahrez was a key cog in the Leicester machine as the “Fearless Foxes” stormed to the 2015-16 Premier League title.
His goals and assists – mostly for pal Jamie Vardy – turned more than a few heads, with Mahrez constantly tipped with a move away ever since, namely to Arsenal.
Now City are the side looking to capture him, and if Coutinho’s huge move to Barca is anything to go by then they may need to dig deep to get their man.
In the English top-flight, Coutinho has scored 41 goals in 152 appearances, good for a goal every 3.7 games.
Mahrez’s games per goal record is identical, having scored 34 goals in 125 games.
However, since the start of the 2015-16 season, Mahrez has racked up 30 goals and 21 assists to Coutinho’s 28 goals and 18 assists.

On top of that, Mahrez has a Premier League winner’s medal, PFA Players of the Year award and African Player of the Year award in his trophy cabinet.
So with almost identical records, arguably skewed in the Algerian’s favour, why is Coutinho worth three times as much?
