Leeds have unveiled a new badge and it hasn’t gone down well with the fans.
The Championship club made the announcement at midday citing six months research and 10,000 consultants as evidence that the new design was the right choice for next century.
How wrong they were.
Our first thoughts echoed those of many people — it looks like a badge Pro Evo would use because the don’t have the license to display the real one.
The central graphic shows an anonymous figure performing the ‘Leeds salute’, a common gesture among fans and players of the club.
However, may supporters were angered at the omission of the traditional white rose, a symbol of Yorkshire.
It’s worth visiting the replies to Leeds’ announcement tweet…
At the time of writing over 25,000 fans have already signed a petition to stop the club from implementing the new design.
