We are blessed to be watching Harry Kane in this form.
He scored two more goals this evening against Everton at Wembley to secure a 4-0 win for Spurs.
Kane’s brace also meant that he joined a VERY exclusive club.
So exclusive in fact, that it only consists of him, Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer.
And Kane should be very proud to be in such company.
The England striker’s double to sink Everton meant that his league goal tally for this season climbed to 20.
In doing so, Kane become only the third player to net 20 times in the league for four season in a row.
The only other people to have achieved such a feat are the Premier League’s number one and five all time top scorers.
In a record-breaking game Kane also scored his 97th and 98th league goals for Spurs meaning he surpassed Teddy Sheringham as the club’s leading Premier League scorer.
Shearer only managed it for four seasons, but Henry took it a step further and scored more than 20 goals for five consecutive seasons.
The way Spurs are set up to play Kane could continue these kind of numbers for at least another two seasons.
If he stays, that is.
At this rate, Kane will also be targeting the most Premier League goals in one season which currently stands at 31 for a 38 game season.
He is already on 20 and it’s only January.
Let’s just celebrate Kane for what he is.
A brilliant striker.
