It could be seen that one is the master and the other is the apprentice.
Whilst Wayne Rooney has been there, done that and picked up the winners medals during his time at Manchester United, Pogba is still yet to fully show the Premier League what he is capable of.
And as Rooney lined up as captain for Everton on Monday evening, he came up against Pogba as the opposite skipper.
But there was a marked difference between the two as they lined up int he tunnel prior to the match at Goodison Park.
While Pogba shook the hands of some Everton players, Rooney was seemingly having none of it as he looked focused on the job in hand.
It didn’t go unnoticed by some fans, who started discussing the differing mentalities of the two players.
- Everyone’s laughing at Paul Pogba’s extraordinary bit of failed skill
- Ciaran Clark just produced one of the worst misses we have ever seen
It didn’t seem to harm Pogba, who was arguably the best player on the pitch for the first hour, while Rooney was substituted at the 62 minute mark.
