We never liked Shinji Kagawa.
Kidding, of course, but the Borussia Dortmund midfielder will be feeling like the Christmas Grinch, Ebenezer Scrooge and Hans Gruber from Die Hard rolled into one – after making a little kid cry at Christmas time.
In a video posted on his Twitter account, the Japanese playmaker is seen nutmegging a young child multiple times.
It’s pretty brutal.
Eventually, the former Manchester United flop stops as the child starts to cry and angrily kicks the ball away.
Check it out.
According to a quick translation of Kagawa’s caption, the BVB star was simply trying to make the kid a better player.
“This regret makes a person stronger”.
Personally, we think the kid should’ve just dived in, two-footed, studs up – that woulda showed him.
Wondering how Kagawa’s getting on at Dortmund?
Much like their season, Kagawa has struggled to find form despite being a first-team regular in the side.
So far, he’s managed three goals in the Bundesliga, as well as a strike in the German cup – with Peter Stoger’s side 13 points adrift of table-toppers Bayern Munich.
But he’s got an exciting summer to look forward to, with Japan drawn against Poland, Senegal and Colombia in Group H of the World Cup.
Alongside Leicester’s Shinji Okazaki, Kagawa will undoubtedly be his nation’s go-to guy in the tournament.
If he’s up against kids, he’ll be laughing his way to the final, eh?
