Cast your minds back to 25 May 2005. Istanbul, to be precise.
Liverpool and AC Milan met in- and we don’t say this lightly- the best 90 minutes of football ever played.
If you need a gentle reminder of what happened, Milan were 3-0 up at half-time through Paolo Maldini and Hernan Crespo before a rousing comeback saw Liverpool win on penalties.
Twelve years later a lot has changed.
Well, Liverpool still haven’t won a Premier League title, but the footballing landscape looks a lot different.
Kaka’s recent retirement meant that every single member of both squads is no longer playing.
Except for one.
The question is, can you name him?
We’ll put you out of your misery. It’s Milan Baros. Yep, we’d forgotten he started up front as well.
Baros played 85 minutes of the Champions League final and famously dropped the trophy while celebrating.
At the age of 36 he’s still plugging away at Banik Ostava, the Czech club with whom he started his career and will, most likely, finish it.
