Toni Kroos is an Englishman at heart.
This is a man who loves Robbie Williams, James Blunt, Olly Murs and the darts.
So who better to have their say on an age-old English debate? Nope, not whether you pronounce bath as barthh or bafff.
We are, of course, talking about the Frank Lampard, Paul Scholes or Steven Gerrard debate.
As well as his English roots Kroos is also a fine midfielder in his own right, so an all round good bloke to ask.
Someone posed the question to Kroos on Twitter during an #AskToni session.
Who did he go for? Drum roll please. He went for the ginger prince, Scholes.
Cue plenty of angry Chelsea and Liverpool supporters.
So Kroos has spoken.
Can you argue with a midfielder who’s been named in the FIFA Team of the Year on three different occasions and won three Champions League medals?
Probably not, but we’re sure that won’t stop people piling in.
Arguing is pointless anyway- Toni can’t hear you over the sound of Angels and Rock DJ.
