Jurgen Klopp has joined the race to sign Federico Martinez – who already plays for Liverpool.

The Uruguay winger, 21, has been a regular for Liverpool FC in Montevideo and has been watched this season by Kop scouts.

He could leave during the January transfer window in a £5million move with clubs willing to take him over to Europe.

Swansea, West Ham and Everton have shown interest in bringing him to the Premier League.

German giants Borussia Dortmund are also looking to add to their talented youngsters, with Napoli and Roma also keeping tabs on a move to Italy.

Martinez has played for the Uruguay Under-17s but has been tipped for a full call-up following his impressive season in South America.
