PSG’s two star names were the centre of attention again last night.
Both Neymar and Edinson Cavani were on the scoresheet during their 2-0 win over Troyes in Ligue 1.
But more questions were asked about the club’s policy on penalties when the Uruguayan missed a spot-kick following a discussion with his team-mate.
Neymar looked as if he was going to take the penalty before Cavani intervened.
The pair briefly discussed the situation before world’s most expensive player begrudgingly walked away.
Any tension between the two was then doubled when Mamadou Samassa saved Cavani’s spot-kick to keep the game as 0-0.
Cavani and Neymar famously fell-out earlier in the season as they argued over who should take penalties.
They have shared penalty duties since but there were rumours the rift had ruffled some feathers in the PSG dressing room.
All well was well at the final whistle with three points secured and both forwards on the scoresheet.
Neymar opened the scoring on 73 minutes before assisting Cavani in the 90th minute to guarantee the three points.
Still, more signs that the issue isn’t fully resolved, or did Neymar simply forget whose turn it was?
