Saido Berahino makes his feelings clear on Tony Pulis sacking

He was dropped by Pulis at West Brom and couldn't help himself with a cheeky swipe at the Welshman's sacking.

What is the best way to get revenge on your former employer?

Instagram of course.

Saido Berahino decided to take a little dig at Tony Pulis on Instagram when it was announced he had been sacked by West Brom.

It would be no understatement to say these two do not get on, you could even go as far to say Pulis is the Stoke striker’s biggest nemesis in football.

Back in 2016, before Berahino’s January move to Stoke, Pulis dropped the the 24-year-old citing a lack of match fitness as the reason.

It turned out Berahino had failed a drug test and was served an eight-week ban.

Although Pulis had once described him as West Brom’s answer to Jamie Vardy or Harry Kane, the relationship deteriorated at speed.

When West Brom announced the sacking on Instagram yesterday Berahino seized his chance and threw a cheeky like on the post, letting the world know there is still a bit of bad blood.

Berahino is a complex character by all accounts and it’s no surprise he couldn’t help himself but take a dig at Pulis for his sacking.

After signing for Stoke, Berahino had to deny claims he was ‘too big for West Brom’, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

One great striker.. and Berahino

He has hardly lit up the Premier League since his move.

In fact, he has never rediscovered any sort of form after the Pulis fallout.

Following Stoke’s 2-2 draw with Brighton last night, Berahino has not scored for 632 days.

He can’t buy a goal right now.

In that time Berahino has also failed to score three Premier League penalties – golden opportunities to end a drought.

Is Pulis ever wrong?

Er, yes.
