England’s Golden Boot winner at the Under-17 World Cup has attracted interest from Juventus and Borussia Dortmund even BEFORE glory in India.
And Kop bosses have been trying to tie the 17-year-old to his first pro contract at Anfield after impressing Jurgen Klopp and getting into the senior matchday squad last season.
But there has been no breakthrough in discussions for the teenager, who left Chelsea for Liverpool two years ago.
Ben Woodburn recently signed a lucrative new long-term deal when he turned 18 after being on lower terms as a first-year pro.
Liverpool have a self-imposed £40,000-a-year salary cap on Academy prospects to make sure they keep their feet on the ground.
Brewster turns 18 next April when he is expected to offered a deal to stay at Anfield – but Juve and Dortmund are watching his situation closely.
Dortmund have been looking to snap up the best British talent and have swooped for Jadon Sancho from Manchester City already.
Sancho became the first English player to join the German side when he made a shock switch on deadline day.
And with two first-team appearances to his name so far this season, Sancho’s decision to leave City for Dortmund may encourage other young Brits to make a switch abroad.
