Brazilian pair Lucas Moura and Marquinhos both played that night and were understandably jubilant after achieving the crowning win in Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s project to date.
Well, it turns out that the Brazilians could have been doing a bit more than Samba in their celebrations.
Both players have announced that they have become new fathers this week – nine months to the week after that famous triumph in Paris.
However, it seems the Brazilian boys may have been a bit premature with their vigorous merrymaking.
Despite no team ever having recovered from a 4-0 deficit in the first leg, Barcelona beat PSG 6-1 in the second leg to proceed to the next round and knock the Parisians out of the tournament.
Marquinhos is in the Brazil squad to play England at Wembley tonight and who knows, another big win could see more ‘celebrations’.
