It’s fair to say that Mohamed Salah is having an absolute blinder for Liverpool this season.
The Egyptian – who was signed from Roma for an initial £37million in the summer – has notched 12 goals in all competitions for the Reds so far, including the two he hit against West Ham on Saturday evening.
And if you delve into some of the numbers behind his season – it’s pretty stunning.
Firstly, the 25-year-old is shaping up to be Liverpool’s best goalscorer since Luis Suarez, who left the club after the 2013/14 season.
In fact, he only needs to hit three more goals to be the Reds best goal-scoring individual since the Uruguayan.
Considering we’re only in November, that’s fairly incredible.
Salah’s 12 goals this season also equals the total amount hit by Chelsea’s front-three so far.
Considering Salah is a Chelsea ‘reject’, who officially left the Blues back in 2016 after only a handful appearances, the London club must be kicking themselves for letting him go.
All-in-all, Salah has been resposible for 15 goals for Liverpool this season.
That’s right, he creates too.
But the stat we love the most?
Salah has notched an impressive 113 points on Dream Team so far this season, putting him second behind Harry Kane in the overall player standings.
Considering he’s priced at just £6.4m on the game (at the moment), he’s well worth a place in any fantasy football team.
Which is probably why he’s the third most-popular player on our game, after Romelu Lukaku and Kane.
What a season, huh?
