The future certainly looks bright at Bayern Munich, with the club’s youth side still unbeaten in the UEFA Youth League.
The Bavarian youngsters were seemingly heading for a 1-1 draw against Celtic in the Under-19’s tournament this evening, before little-known youngster Oliver Batista-Meier struck an unbelievable winner in the dying moments.
The 16-year-old – who certainly has a big future ahead of him – put Bayern on level terms earlier in the game by scoring a pretty stunning free-kick.

But that’s nothing compared to his wonderful 93rd minute winner.
Collecting the ball on the left-wing and clearly overcome with cramp, the youngster beats his marker and sprints into the Celtic box before hitting the winner beyond the goalkeeper.
He must’ve been in helluva lot of discomfort, as he opted to drop to the ground to treat his legs instead of celebrate.

Thanks to his heroics, Bayern’s youngsters will go through to the second round of the competition, with ten points from their four games – three ahead of Paris Saint-Germain, who surprisingly lost 3-2 against Anderlecht, having been two goals ahead.
