Anthony Martial is enjoying his best season yet at Manchester United.
His six goals and four assists so far this term, coupled with an overall WhoScored rating of 7.12, is an encouraging return from a player who looked certain to leave over the summer.
The Frenchman was United’s hero at the weekend when he scored the winning goal in their 1-0 win over fellow title-contenders Tottenham.

But despite his great start to the new campaign, United legend Gary Neville says the former Monaco forward isn’t playing at his full potential.

“For someone of that talent, he should be tearing this league apart with his ability.
“He’s lost his place in the France squad – there’s obviously something wrong with him.
“Mourinho and the French manager have turned off of him a little bit.
“You always get the feeling he’s playing at 85 per cent.
“If he showed that extra 15 per cent, then he could do anything.
“He’s got everything you’d want: composure in front of goal, great skill, pace, strength, but what is that little bit missing?”
Neville added: “He takes big moments on and obviously has the temperament to play in big games.
“But come on, let’s see it every single week.
“He could be a player that could score 20 goals in 20 games if he really wanted to and strived to be the best.”
Despite Neville’s comments, Martial has been one of Dream Team’s standout performers this season.
He’s currently rubbing shoulders with the very best players the game has to offer, having amassed 73 points so far.
But hey, what do we know?
