When your luck is out, your luck is out.
Joe Hart can’t do right for doing wrong this season.
It seems like everything he does, good or bad, is criticised, as was the case with Brighton’s goals against West Ham during Friday Night Football.
Now there’s really not a lot you can do as a keeper when your defenders allow the opposition striker a free header from six-yards out.
That was the case as West Ham’s defenders went missing, allowing Glenn Murray to head home.
But Hart still caught flak for the way in which he dived while making the save.
We do feel a bit sorry for Hart in this case.
Even if he’d dived with the enthusiasm of Harry Redknapp on deadline day he wasn’t getting anywhere near it.
But for Brighton’s second Hart was more culpable.
Jose Izquierdo’s shot from outside the box beat Hart despite the England international getting a firm hand to the ball.
It came just seconds after he made a fine one-on-one save to deny Murray a second.
Who’d want to be a keeper?
Christian Eriksen or Philippe Coutinho? Why not both in this weekend’s big game?
