It’s been quite an interesting week for Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda.
The 21-year-old aimed an angry Instagram rant at the way he has been treated at the Blues, arguing that he hasn’t been given enough game time after coming through the academy.
Manager Antonio Conte reportedly had words with the Belgian-born forward about his off-field conduct, but he also offered Musonda the chance to shine in the Blues’ defeat to Crystal Palace.
Coming on as a substitute for the ineffective Michy Batshuayi, Musonda looked bright and certainly wasn’t overawed by the occasion.

However, Musonda was given a golden chance to level the game up late on, but completely fluffed the opportunity from 12 yards out.

In addition to his angry social media rant, Musonda’s brother also waded in, claiming Chelsea wouldn’t realise if ‘Messi and Ronaldo had come through their academy’, seemingly putting his brother on a similar pedestal to the two greatest players in the world.
So it was no surprise that once Musonda had missed the brilliant opening, Chelsea fans were quick to point out that actions certainly speak louder than words.
With Alvaro Morata out injured and Batshuayi looking a touch off-form, Musonda could break into the team… but not with finishing like this.
