Forgotten man recalled to England squad for games against Slovenia and Lithuania

Gareth Southgate has included Fabian Delph in an England squad for the first time since November 2015

Gareth Southgate has named his latest England squad to take on Slovenia and Lithuania in the Three Lions final 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

England need just two points from their remaining two games to guarantee qualification to next year’s tournament in Russia.

Fabian Delph, who hasn’t been seen in an England shirt since November 2015, is recalled, as is Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

One potential unresolved issue is the inclusion of Dele Alli.

The Spurs midfielder could yet be banned for his middle finger gesture against Slovakia.

Let’s hope the lads can keep their celebrations PG if they do indeed qualify for the World Cup.
